Looks like a sbc to me. But what do I know? Fits in the engine bay the same as my 305. Not tryin' to create a fuss, but are you sure it's a 454? What is the casting number?

By the way, the headers are sold.

ahhhh where were you one month ago i woulda snagged that motor up in a second. looks like its put together very well. Ill tell a couple friends about it and get back to you

 

its def. a big block, you can tell by the spacing of the headers

Just pulled the engine tonight. She's ready to go....

Forgot about a few items that go with it
168 tooth flywheel
Harmonic balancer
Hi-torque mini starter with quick disconnect harness

It won't take much to make this motor run - only a carb, and power steering box & brackets.

I "may" throw in the aluminum valve covers and air cleaner too which are brand new.

Income taxes should be coming for a lot of you very soon.....
