Emission standards here is a female dog

my dad's 98 truck barely passed.. EFI 350... however he did have catlytic converter problems... and he developed a pretty bad exhaust leak at the cat, and exhaust manifold about a year after....

makes me wary as to if i can swap to a carb'd 350... especially if it looks like i wont have EGR or a computer

what do u guys think

am i fer being a tad worried?

 

they will test it as it came from factory


but if you could get the carb setup to run cleaner than a factory 98 could then yeah but its technically not legal to remove the factory 98 emissions equipment
so.



or jut sell it and buy a 95 or older, as they cancelled testing on them but i forget when its going to take effect

if that 98 cant pass then it needs tuned up or something else is wrong, i would fix it
