so i hear from matt that the twin city cruise for sept 14th at von maurs is an all 80's night. who is gonna be able to make it and represent the third gen's? To my dismay I already have plans to be in st louis for the eagles concert and cant make it. But damn i would love to go. John your car gonna be ready for it?

Im good on help, but thank you for the offer. There is still a ton to be done, but it should go quickly now that the fundage is there....Probably not in time for the show.

It will FOR SURE be ready way before the next TGF though.

 

Cool we can do another caravan to TGF next year.
Hope everyone else can make it to the Sept show, should be a great turn out.Maybe all get together Before/Afterwards?

Usually I go eat within walking distance.The family wants to come along for this show & maybe a few more people.I will know more & the time closer to the date.

by the way Landis, i just picked up a trailblazer SS this weekend. how much for a complete detail? the dealer half-assed it and it needs a good detail. i can swing it by sometime too if you want to see it first.

John - no i didn't get it from lemans... my buddy got it that was with me. that was fine though because lemans was rwd and i wanted awd. i went up to downers grove and got one and it's LOADED!!! it's one of the jewel red ones which looks awesome in the sunlight.

Thanks for the hookup Landis with the detail. i need to scrape up some money and make an appointment. i'm driving it to the motor city at the end of the month so i'll definetley wait until after that.

by the way guys, it looks like rain fri, sat and sunday. i hope not, but it looks inevitable.

Landis, are those your 2 1LE's on ebay right now? i didn't realize you had so many!!! i knew you had that blue 91 or 92 that you sold early this summer, and your red 91 or 92 that you brought to thirdgen fest. from the pictures on ebay i'm pretty sure the pictures were taken at your place and the descriptions would match up with you. how many 1LE's do you have?

also, as for the show tonight, their website says "rain or shine" i'm not going if it's raining but i'd like to get together with you guys some time for some 3rd gen talk.

 

You guys didnt miss much at the show tonight. Maybe 30 cars there. All the 80s stuff was raggedy Vettes, an 80 or 81 Camaro, and your average Fox Bodies. Yall would have went home with some trophies

hey, i live 12 mi west of bloomington, ive seen a few thirdgens around bloomington. Ive got a red 87 z28, a black 86 iroc in need of help, a 82 z28 parts car, and a near mint black and gold 84 trans am. My buddy has a red 91 rs, and i know a kid who has a teal 92 rs.

Ive also seen a blue camaro, either a rs, or z28, driving around bloomington, also seen it parked at a house on rt-9 in danvers. I saw that blue camaro when it was raining last week, he turned off of mitsubishi rd onto market, and kicked the *** end side ways and about lost it, it was funny.

If anybody needs a hand workin on their car, i can help. I can do pretty much anything, from rust repair, to body work, to paint, to drive train swap, and most electrical. Just shoot me a p.m.

Hi everyone. My son and I are fairly new to Bloomington. Our trip back to Nebraska over the 4th resulted in a 500 mile trip home in a 1988 Firebird. Nothing like an 8 hour trip in a car you know nothing about! Its a project car, but we're jumping right in to it. Body is in excellent shape, and runs decent too. would like to find a good drivers door, T-top headliner, and a few other parts too. I'll have to take some pictures of the interior, as the drivers seat is different than the others, and we'd like to replace it.

BTW, did you guys see the 1989 Firebird for sale on CL in Springfield? Not much more than we gave for our project, and it looks great!

 

Let me know if you need parts I have an 88 T/A parts car in Springfield.

 

Have you parted anything out on it yet? If you have whats still left on it?

 

There is no motor, tranny, g effects from behind the front bumper, wiring harness, or tail lights. I need a few odds and ends still but not much.
