Pre-registering is a lot easier for meissen do get everything set up, it's also nice to get a count of how many cars could be there.

Re: 5th Annual Michigan FBody Meet & Greet 2009
Hello,
With only 45 days, 14 hours, and 45 minutes before the big event, we have made a huge change to the 2009 Meet & Greet venue.
Instead of holding our event at Kensington Metro Park, we will be holding the event at Bakers of Milford in Milford, Michigan.
This event is essentially *next door* to Kensington park, so the location change should be a very minimal inconvenience.
The new address for this year's Meet & Greet is 2025 S. Milford Rd, Milford, Michigan. Please mapquest accordingly.
For those that planned to take I-96 to Kensington, you will be able to take your route as planned but exit the freeway at exit 155 - Milford Rd - north. Once you exit the freeway and head north on Milford Rd, you will go 2.5 miles and Bakers of Milford will be on your right. I will do my best to deploy signs where possible.
Our official flier has been updated accordingly and can be viewed here: http://www.mifbody.com/MeetGreet2009.png
The official Information thread has been updated accordingly:
http://www.mifbody.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=22105
Should you have any questions or concerns at all, please feel free to contact me at meissen@mifbody.com or via telephone at 586-839-9565.
Thanks,
Brian Meissen

ok kool, I go to bakers all the time for shows. This makes it easier for me. Why did you change it?
Re: 5th Annual Michigan FBody Meet & Greet 2009
Kensington had a lot of politics involved surrounding the catering. They have an exclusive contract with Cranks and we had a really bad experience with them last year. They promised us after last year's event that we could use a different vendor and now after I had already gotten permission to find another vendor and had one lined up now a few days ago they tell me I have to go through cranks.
Just didn't like the politics involved.

Just didn't like the politics involved. What happened last year?
Just Registered also!
May sound dumb but is there parts for sale too?
Re: 5th Annual Michigan FBody Meet & Greet 2009
If anyone brings parts for sale, sure, but we don't have a dedicated parts swap area, sorry.
Last year Cranks showed up 2 hours late to the show, didn't have the fryers working, didn't have everything they told us would be on the menu, and were really slow getting the food out. The people behind the counters said they were totally unaware that we were going to be there even though I had called three separate times to ensure Cranks would be prepared for us being there.
Real lack of communication on their part.

For those of you who might be coming from out of state or just are not familiar with Bakers of Milford, below is a link to photos from today - May 3rd. Keep in mind - what you see in the pictures happens EVERY SUNDAY. 100% free. This car scene/heritage is EXACTLY what we wanted for our Meet & Greet.

Did you have a friend with you? I saw a white IROC driving towards Bakers when my dad and I were driving through downtown Milford. Had a passenger with him. We were in a '95 purple Firebird Formula.

Haha yeah - my dad traded our worn out 2000 Jimmy (which was a POS) + $400 for the Formula.
Deal of the century lol. And yeah, I remember your car - but admittedly was too busy watching the eye candy crossing the street on the other side...

Yeah I can't wait it is gonna be great! There is an older couple that are customers at the dealership I work at and they just bought a brand new camaro and have a 25th anniversary camaro. I talked to them about the show and they are going to follow me there now!
Re: 5th Annual Michigan FBody Meet & Greet 2009
Wow - it's overwhelming the number of registrations we received this year! Happy to report that based off of everyone's reactions to Bakers (as if I doubt anyone ISN'T going to like the new location) we might see about doing a multi-day or a true all-day event... something to make it even more enticing for people to drive across the state or from other states to our humble little show.
