illinois, what do you guys think
hey guys, i sold my 89 about a year ago, and i want to buy another one. i found an 84 z28 that is a 305HO 5 speed car. car is super solid. it was repainted a year ago. theres pics of it gutted and you can tell the floors are amazing. its a 3.73 posi, 4 wheel disc brake, TREMEC 5 speed car not borg warner, it has new tires, very clean original interior, 100k miles. he says the car runs and drives but the motor is tired. so hes including a 92 5.7 motor with 40k miles on it, another 305HO from 85, and a borg warner 5 speed, and extra set of wheels. hes selling all this with the car for $4500. he was planning to do the 5.7 swap in it, but decided to sell instead. he seems like a very credible guy too. has owned many 3rd gens and had 5 at one time (he showed a pic haha) and one of them is a 1200 horse drag car.
what do you guys think about this deal? i sold my 1989 305tbi car for $4000 last year and this car seems alot nicer than my car was.

It sounds like it is ina lot better shape tan te one I just got. This is coming from your description only of course, but I would say get it. Like the previous post said though, double and triple check to make sure you aren't getting a lemon.

Are you looking for a daily driver or a toy? I have a toy that you could look at in Peoria, IL if you are interested.
It's a 1989 Firebird that I have owned since 1992. It has always been garaged and hasn't been driven in 12 years. It is a Washington state car from the dry desert with no rust (a nearly impossible find in the midwest). I grew up in Washington state and brought the car to Illinois about 4 years ago. It's still sitting in my garage and I think I have to face the fact that I will never finish it. 468 big block Chevy, B&M supercharger, TH400, Strange 12 bolt, fully adjustable suspension, frame upgrades, 4th gen leather seating & console, drag radials, ROH rims, and more.
Pictures and information can be found at the following link.

Dive alittle deeper into it & if it bites you take it home!! You can do the swap?!? I tell myself every daywhen I leave work--that's 1 day closer to spring!! Just a thought anyway!!
QwkTrip-- I almost ruined the keyboard drooling!! When spring gets here, scrape some knuckles-it's too close to reeking havoc!! HAHA
I tried to rate but I'm not a member there. I'd give it a 9, 10 being best.
Only 2 reasons
(1)
It's not mine
(2)
The 8:71 would be t*ts!!
