Re: St. Louis, Missouri area F-Body guys
Hey got a quick Q. one of my buddies friend has an 02 ws6/ ls1 powered with a blown head gasket. I would get everything intake to oil pan maybe wiring harness idk, but what would be a good price to offer? I'm not going to buy it until I see that it truely is just a blown head gasket, and the motor has 80,000 on it. Being that 02 was the best year and has ls6 intake stock I feel like if I could get this thing for 1000 or less it would be in my budget.
How long does the swap normally take and how much money did you have in fabrication and other stuff just to get it to run? It might just be worth it to me to just build a better SBC by the time I get the stock ls1 running

That's what I decided, lsx is nice but way out of price range and you can build a badass sbc for what it cost to get lsx running. I just really need to get mine running right lol it should have put down way more than 260 lol

I wasn't crazy at all about the wheels though. By the time I got there and looked around a little everybody started leaving it was only 9 30 I figured a few people would stick around who wanted to race lol

I missed the Wentzville Rod Run, I had free tickets to see the Cardinals play the Cubs that night.
If it's the black IROC that was at the Fastlane car show, I know which one you're talking about. I saw it there also, everything under the hood is spray painted silver or is chrome and it has these huge chrome covers that go over the inner fenders.

That car and my car were the two runners-up in the modified 3rd/4th gen Fbody class at the Fastlane carshow...The winner was some red LS1 Ws6.

Re: St. Louis, Missouri area F-Body guys
thats the one. chrome covers over the fenders rings a big bell. did you see the 2 blue IROC/Z28 at the fastlane show? I would love to have that pair.
We were at the rod run from 12 until around 10:30.we'd of raced you if we saw your car. next time you're around here I'll show you a great place to drag a mile or so away from wentzville blvd. during the day, you see maybe 2 people along the 3-5 mile road, never anybody at night. plus It's straight enough to go probabley 160(maybe, just an estimate) along the whole road. thats where we clock our 0-60s and 1/4 after new parts.we got caught by cops 1 time and they raced us, and said the only reason is cause there are no houses or people around to hurt if we crashed.

The convertible is mine, the blue hardtop behind it at the show is my dad's. It's for sale for $9,000 if you want it
Re: St. Louis, Missouri area F-Body guys
that black camaro has never beaten me, the last time i saw him at a show he told me that when he seen me pull in his chances of winning went to ****. with all the spray paint and what is brushed on just about makes me sick, if your gooing to put that much time into covering everything up use stainless looks much better..

I was kinda surprised that my car and my dads car weren't the two runners up instead of the black car and mine. My dads swap is super clean

Is it cool to bring a 4th gen. to the show at First baptist Church in August or is it all 3rd gen.? I sold my third gen. but still own a 4th.

No, I live in Monticello off Hwy K. I've seen another 02 Collector T/A around town if that's what you are talking about. Mine has just over 5000 miles on it.

If anyone ever wants to cruise/race some backroads we know a few good roads in ofallon/wentzville.twistys and straights.
I'm in on the Idea to start a 3rd gen fest in the st. charles area.
oh, and iroc-z_23 , I'll text you in a little bit. so you know, my number is 636-795-4756 and name is Andrew. we go to owensville quite a bit. we have 300 acres along the gasconade river to hunt/fish/camp on.we'll have to meet up next time I'm down that way.we pass right through hermann on the way. hwy 19, I think? the road subway and the bakery are on.

ok been driving my 4th gen around and blew out 2nd yayayaya needless to say its in the shop now. but my 3rd gen is not running as well is it should and i cannot seem to get the idle right without kicking a code. basically i need a good tuner to tune my car. i can figure out the idle problem its most likely to do with the space between my throttle body and the tps. just need a good tune.

I was talking to that guy with the red ttop IROC-Z that pulled in behind you at The Lot, and he was talking about buying some software where he can burn his own chips. I'm gonna keep an eye out for him next month and see if he shows up again. I'll have to get his number if I see him again.

I can get you saddled up pretty quick if you know what you're doing with machinework. That's where it's at. I've got two blocks I need done, and another friend of mine is always getting machinework done every other week or so.

I love it when I make an order online for parts and I'm a mere 3 dollars short from free shipping. This has happened TWICE now on two different sites. I'll be damned if I have to pay for shipping when I can get it for free! Last time it was a keychain, and this time ended up being a single podgauge so I can hook up my vacuum readings.
It's the small things, I swear.

I used to work at that Church. It's 5 minutes from my house. Jump off Scott AFB exit and you'll be 2 minutes from it.
