Anybody go to the Hot Rod Power Tour on Fri. night? It was my first time at Rt.66. Cool as hades. It was a very cool gathering. Cool cars, fast cars, and some just pretty (very). Saw a big crash though. Beautiful blue '69 Camaro. Luckily the guy was OK so maybe he can rebuild the car. 
Anyway, when do they have T&T night at Rt.66? I live near the IN border so I go to US 41. I LIKE RT.66 BETTER!!! And how much do it cost?

I was there Friday night. That '68 Camaro WAS a sad situation huh?!?!? Sucks to see someone screw up their car like that. I ended up waiting about 45 minutes in the staging lanes while they cleaned up the mess.
You might have seen me there. I had the all black '86 T/A with black GTA wheels....Finally hitting 12's.
I made about four runs.
As far as "Test and Tune", it's generally on Tuesday nights, and sometimes on Sunday nights. Rt.66 is an all around better track compared to US41., but don't get me wrong, I still like going to US41 because it's a helluva good time and you get ALOT of runs in if thats your thing.
41 costs $25 I believe, and 66 costs $30. The five bucks extra is well worth it in my opinion. Some nights are more crowded than others, so it just depends on what the turnout is on a particular night if you get alot of runs in or not. Sitting in the staging lanes isn't that bad...alot of cool people to talk to.
If you make a day out of it, bring a little grill and a cooler or something for the pits.

I didn't make it on Fri, but caught up with the Power Tour on Sat. morning and cruised to St. James, Mo on Sun afternoon. As sick as I am of reading about Power Tour in Hot Rod, it's a lot of fun to do. Not a lot of thirdgens though. The gas stops were great-- hundreds of hot rods taking over some little town, while the townspeople sit by the sides of the road and take pics and wave. Big fun... can't wait to do it in MY car next year.
