Does IL use the sniffer in the NW? I talked to a state trooper and he said that the cop won't even look for a cat unless the car is really loud and he is a D*ck. I plan on hollowing out the cat (in case they look), but can he still sniffer test me in Lee County?

I've never heard of cops using a sniffer in Illinois, but depending on where you live they do have emmissions tests. As long as you don't live in a highly populated area like Chicago, its suburban collar, or in Springfield I wouldn't worry about it.
Then again if a Illinois state trooper told you we do have sniffer tests, well, I can't argue with that.

i know i got in trouble when i out a "test" pipe in my sisters car.she lives in lockport(by chicago)when they went in fo rthier year inspetion she got busted.i welded a new cat in really fast after that lol ive never done exhaust work so fast in my life

When you ask a District 16 trooper about a "sniffer" he'll be thinking about drug dogs...
