I Found a 100% Original NotchBack…….
Title says it all. I Found a 100% Original 1988 NotchBack Trans Am GTA. The only problem is i am not sure what to pay for it. Here is some info on the car.
Pros: 40k Org. miles on car, 305 TPI W/5-speed trans, GTA wheels are in great condition with the Org. gatorback tires on them. Red W/T-TOPS!!
Cons: Needs new hood/hinges and bumper. All GTA emblems are missing off the car. The interior is all there but mostly trashed, gonna need new carpet, headliner etc. The car has been sitting for about 15 years outside, that being said there is some rust. I didn't see any rust on the outside of the car but I did see quite a bit on the inside, for example the vin tag is rusted up a lot, and when I took the sail panels off to check if the car had the original speakers I seen that the metal on the speakers was rusted. you could just tell by sitting in the car that there has been a lot of moisture build up in the car.
There is a lot more, but you get the picture. So what do you guys think its worth? There was only 350 T-Top Notchback gta cars made so I have no idea what to offer.

What are they asking for it?
I would start at 800 and work up - that way at least you know you could part the car to get your investment back.

That is one rare bird. Even though combination records are not available, notchback with T-top and 5 speed must down below 50 copies produced.
So even though it's low mile, rare, and desireable, I wouldn't bother with it. The T-tops have likely been leaking for years based on your description. Moisture is bad for any car, but cars of this era can't take it at all. Of course humidity damages the metal, but these cars have a lot of electrical switches and connectors, all of which are likely corroded to some degree, inside and out. Interior is water damaged, and what is the probability that the engine was properly prepared for long time storge before it was parked for years? Not likely very good.
If you want something nice at the end, this car doesn't have much to work with.

Sounds like it could be pretty scary under the carpet. It could be a $10K plus project EASY. I'd say starting at $800 makes sense, but not a dollar over $1,500. Then you can get it home, strip it down, and if it's trash part it out and still get your money back.

Probably has holes in the floor large enough to drop a spare tire through. Or missing half the sub-frame due to rot.

It is sad when you see good cars like this, just left to die. Next time I am in the area, I will look at the car in deeper detail. You can't save them all, but Im gonna try to save this one.
