anyone in MN have their thrid gen apart???
I'm up/over in Alexandria MN and I'm looking for some help in identifying a few issues in my 83. I cannot for the life of me figure out why my Driver side manual mirror is all loose and wobbly. It seems I'm still missing something in the door that would make it hold better and take the slack out. I also need to have a look at what is supposed to be between the door and the kick panel as mine has all the wires cut along with no insulation or whatever should be there. I need a visual as you know what they say, a pic is worth around 100 words or so

Is the whole mirror loose, they have studs/nuts.
Is the glass loose, could be the adjuster cable thingy that provides tension.

Just the glass, it is very loose. I've had the door panel apart to have a look and I just don't get it. The little **** you would use to adjust it is just flopping around.
