Hey guys! New member here from IL. I've been following along on the forum for a few weeks and not really commenting, so I figured I'd make a post. For as long as I can remember I've absolutely loved the 3rd Gen Camaro look, feel and just style in general, so I've decided I'm going to pick one up as a summer driver. My buddies are trying to get me to look at the 4th gens and even the newer cars, but I say "hey guys, you don't understand, I just need a 3rd gen Camaro" haha
Anyways - I'm thinking about buying a 91 or 92 Camaro and if the engine is too small or if the engine is knocking or dying, I'm wondering what my options for replacing the motor would be? I'd be willing to spend a couple thousand in engine repair or engine replacement.
Party On!

Also - is this the proper message board for this topic?

Welcome. Engine upgrade or repair is covered in other areas in detail. Good luck.

welcome. If its a v6 you will hate getting passed by modern day slow cars. I can go WOT but its like I'm not even pressing on the gas. you could also look into hybrid swaps.

Ok the one I'm looking at now is a 305 TPI LB9....So, I'm hoping I don't get passed by all the cars on the highway, lol, but we will see

It probably doesn't help the muffler isn't connected and a shot tranny mount lol. It's so loud so I think it should be going faster. But I do love how easy it is to do burnouts and donuts.

Yeah lol. And an automatic. Might need new tires tho. So that's probably why xD. Moves too much in the rain.
