You looking for brains with knowhow, or do you just need an extra set of hands to muscle around the bigger stuff?

We got brains here if you've got the muscle. Usually having other people in your garage isn't any kind of useful help at all in my experience.

Thanks, a combination of both really.
I don't have the time anymore to invest in heavily in the research...aka young children.
And while I prefer to turn my own wrenches, I have now become physically unable to heavily lacking in the muscle department (aka spinal and lumbar stenosis)
The kids I estimate will straighten out in 10 years, and surgery is expected within 2 years.

Just going to bump this again, as I am still looking for some local help with knowledge of these cars.
I have the itch to do some more on this project and figured I would reach out again.
Thanks!

If it wasn't the wrong side of the state, I'd help. KC native myself.

You've got your location set to Glendale AZ by the way. May want to update that.

Re: Looking for some Engine Swap help in the Saint Charled MO area.

The nuts and bolts of the job is actually easy. You'll have the engine and trans sitting in the car in no time. I once did an engine removal & install with a bulged disc in my back, it's a matter of having the right tools (as long as you can physically get up and down off the floor).

Its the wiring and plumbing that really consumes a lot of time and keeps you bent over the fenders. Having a true plug-'n-play harness takes care of majority of that frustration and pain. The only person I've ever known that truly does a direct drop-in harness is a member on this site named Pocket. I don't think he is taking on those jobs anymore more though, but you can ask.

Fuel system isn't bad pain-wise because you can lay on your back on the floor. It's just a pain patience-wise if you don't have all the little things figured out.
