Milwaukee area club

Myself and a few friends with thirdgens want to start a local car club of guys(girls too) that putz on their cars together, go to the strip, trade parts and whatnot(kill rice). We've even considered opening up to other cars, but realized that gm and ford guys can argue to easily, and the club could become overun by 5.0s. Mopars just don't cut it, sorry don't mean to offend anyone. If anyone is interested, respond to this post, and shoot me an email. Lets keep this post at the top of the board guys.

You know I'll be in on that! Hell, i think we should block off Highway 100 one night, and just devote it to a night of kicking some ***** booty.

Just a thought

If interested keep up with this board. The midwest boards don't go move very fast, so i'm sure it won't fall away. I know of at least four people that are in, not including myself or whoever visits this board. Communal a$$wipings of ricers on highway 100 would be great, and talking smack with a group at cruise ins full of rice. Trips to the track, and i know everyone has parts laying around that they don't want or need that they would love to trade.

Sup all, wow i can't believe all these rice hatters. Yes i agree ricers suck. I think having a group to kick there you know !$$@!. would be great. Also i like the idea of having a group to trade parts and ideas is a very good thing.

Most of you are from Milw. Just to make things easier if there are people from madison or the paper valley, Pick a meeting placeon the edge of town. Some one has to pick a date and time. My suggestion would be to meet at a restaurant where you have real silver ware but still use paper napkins like a Big Boy or Country Kitchen. Remember when you set the time that some of us have to travel 1 hour plus. We have e-mail for newsletters, there shouldn't be any cost involved to get started. Anybody have any other ideas??????Ray

That sounds like a good idea. If you want my to drive my Iroc, you better give me a couple of weeks. I have to finish a few things. I have an alternator problem, and I need to get a new registration sticker.
After we get some food we should find a business park to do burnouts in

winter over = good

My car is parked more than 2 hours from where i live now, and i plan on keeping it there until the brunt of the white $hit is gone. And when i have it back i need to put in the radiator, elec fan, calipers, brake hoses, master cylinder and all of the other crap i've been buying on impulse- most of which was from when trak auto went out of business. I already know, 82resto and slowredrs, then we know two or three more with thirdgens. 82restos id says madison, but thats for school purposes, in the summer he should be in milw. There are two people that posted that don't have a specific location- Where y'all from????????

Yeah, I'm just in Madison for school... I'm in Milwaukee pretty often for cruising/business. In a couple of months we'll all have to get together.... definitely when the snow and salt are allllllllllllllllllll gone.

Well, I felt bad that everyone was in a racing club and I wasn't, so I figured that I should make one up. Being a teenager with a lot of study halls and dumb friends I came up with the name Fat Don's Racing. So now I have a shirt with a fat guy on a recliner eating rice holding a bottle of nitrous that I made with my computer. But now I refuse to let anyone into my club because nobody at my school has fast cars, and I don't know the people that do and I'm a stuck up little butthole . I thought it was funny at the time that I made it up, but now that I think about it, it's kind of dumb.

FDR was the president that ended the great depression jon. c'mon, don't you remember zolecki's history class? The ghetto script really would be kinda gay- we might as well drill holes in our hoods and get glowing washer jets- hope no one here has those. irregardless of your tastes, i would be very tempted to give you a beat down if you drilled a thirdgen hood to do that. (maybe an iron duke auto with more exposed bondo than paint, lol)

Some sort of marking would have to be in order though- something in the middle of the back bumper, matching/contrasting each cars color(s) that can be seen by those left behind.:lala:

hey guys, try the Midwest F-Body Association. Open to all gens. I was in it.

www.mfba.org

the moderator of this board YECoyote is in it, and he has a great '86 IROC. We were in the fall cruise 2gether, representing the 3rd gens.:lala:

the MFBA is mostly 4th gen, but that's because nobody with 3rd gen's is around.

Count me in!

I JUST purchased this Firebird and I am sorry to say that I am a former mustang lover. I still like them but this car would smoke a similar setup Mustang. Anyways, I welcome myself to this group and the grass IS greener on the other side!

My car has run 12.8 at the grove

Come on Wisconsin guys, those central illinois thirdgenners are killing us on posts and staying at the top. Where's the WI/IL rivalry? Anyone in milw had there cars out on any of the few nice days that we've had? How about the Milw Auto Show. one 35th ann. camaro, and one T/A. Both auto. What a bummer.
We'll probably be looking at nice enough weather by the end of march, but damn, i don't know if i'll have my car back by then- gotta take a bus or fetch a ride up north to pick up the berlinetta, finding time between work and school.

The weather is already starting to look much better since the snowstorm. Could be nice enough to be out and about in the f-bodies soon. I'm hoping to pick mine up sometime over spring break.

Speaking of busting out the fbodies.. i'll be taking the GTA down to Panama City Beach in a few weeks.. that'll be the king of road trips. And Slowv8, I need to borrow that Mac 3/8's wrench of yours.. that inaccessible header bolt is wriggling itself loose.. and my craftsman won't fit around that (you know this)

Was it a 3/8" or 10mm? That was a while back. Damn you and your six point combo wrenches. Can't you use a 12 point socket with an extension? or isnt there room for that? You're taking a spring break road trip? with who?

Can someone pick a date and time before the Jefferson car show. I am considering selling my GTA at Jefferson. I have a Camaro in the hopper but that won't hit the street until late July. How about a Mall parking lot with a Taco Bell or McDonalds on the perimeter where we have plentuy of parking and can talk for about an hour without being in other peoples hair? Who drives the ice cream truck? You must see some parking lots we could use on your rounds? Near an ice cream shoppe?

no one drives an ice cream truck, at least not that i know of. 82resto was just refering to my weekend job as i merchandiser- an ice cream stocker!- i like the parking lot idea, provided nice weather, with a taco bell or sumthin. Of all the grocery stores i go to there are a few with fast food joints that i can think of: muskego pic n save has a bk;
muskego sentry has a mcd(and a large lot);
k mart on 27th & layton has a bk, and the target across the street has an arby's;
jewel/osco on 124 & capitol has a mcd, bk, and qdoba;
home depot on 108th and national has a taco bell and mcd(very large lot);
i can't really think of any more

Jon, and anyone else that is listening,
a fellow milwaukee thirdgenner is being taunted by an @ss of a rustang driver. The rustang is a 5 speed gt 5.0 and the guy makes claims to header, full exhaust, 40# injectors, and a 75 shot of nos. Now this friend of mine has a 90 rs that is completely stock, so he doesn't stand a chance. I've only met the mustang guy once and i guess he's talkin smack about me too, and my current car won't take him either. I'm feeling the need to pound on his face, so jon, when you comin to town so you can humiliate him before i hurt him.

Hey pony killer, What makes your Iroc the loudest? Do you have a mufflex or something.
You guys should come to the burger king on the corner of Moorland and Coffee on monday nights. Most of the guys from around here go there. I'm usually there for an hour or two.

Where is Moorland and Coffie? I know where Moorland is but never heard of Coffie and cant think of a BK out there??? And what time on monday nights???

Im not sure exacly why my Iroc is so loud, I guess its just a combination of everything. I have head man headers and y pipe, hooked up to a stock cat, and I think the muffler is a flow master( it was on there when I got it) I think alot of it is the cam, its got that old muscle car feel to it. Anyone know how to reduce the interior rattles and vibration ? Its not to bad but it gets really anoying when sitting at a long light.

Not sure how many of you guys are of age, but on monday night at my friends bar they have a lingery model night. Its in muskego though, might be cool to head over there ???

All righty, this goes out to that mustang driver slowv8 was referring to, and to all the other rice out there on HWY 100... I'll be bringing my car out there in two weeks, and they'll all be going down. 12 pounds of boost, 5 gears, 1 3/4 headers, and that's just the beginning...
I don't think I'll be losing to any rice...

Unless of course it's because I'm too busy spitting burnt rubber in their windshield.

Hi everyone, hows it going.

I was up on the hwy friday night with my Iroc. Has anyone else ever had to go through breaking in a new motor? It sucks big time, At almost every light I got stopped with either a mustang or some jap car next to me wanting to race. And I knew I could smokem but Im still in that breaking period where your supposed to go easy so no race

Shouldnt be long though and Ill have it broken in, Ive been doing alot of pointless driving around just to burn up the miles.

I had another idea for getting a bunch of 3rd gens together. Every Wednesday night at the solid gold McDonalds (76th and Edgerton) there is a car show. if we got there early enough we could get all the cars together in one spot. Im planning on taking my car up there this wed provided its not raining like last week. If anyone else is interested or is going to be there let me know.

Take a look at the sticky poll thing that the guy from Michigan put up, there having like a garage party.

I think it would be pretty could if we could get something like that going around here. It would be helpful to have other 3rd Gen people around to help with different questions. Anyways, it was just an idea.

Anyone still alive in Milwaukee? Our post is falling to the bottom of the board.

Anyways, for everyone that wasnt at Solid Gold last week, you didnt miss much. It was kinda cool but it was mopar night so nothing all that interesting to me. I seen a total of 3 3rd Gen including mine, some guy with a white Iroc with red rear bumper, and I think like a 90 black rs.

Oh yeah, Kory I found out why my car is so loud, Exhaust leak. Totaly forgot that I had just tack welded the y pipe together and still need to get under there and finish it. Should sound alot better after that, right now it sounds kinda funny cause of the leak.

hopefully I will be gack in action in a week or so. My trans was the first casualty of my new higher horse motor. I lost 4th gear on my way back to work from lunch on Friday. I should have it out and apart tommorrow. Hopefully back in and working by midweek.

Hey everyone, I started this board a while back and became blinded to all that is good by a female that i began dating 2 months ago. I've realized the error of my ways and will be looking in on this, along with getting back to toolin on my car, even though the woman ran my wallet down quite a ways. I'll get everything to how it should be though. I've finally gotten around to adjusting my choke and tightening my alternator belt, and other little random tasks. I even scrapped my knuclkes for the first time in way too long. This week i should be helping out 82resto with his supercharger on thursdayish, until who-in-the-hell-knows when. Anyone in the area got any experience with it?
