I just took the kid and sat in the blechers. I had to talk to the man about getting some times sceduled to work.

 

Sounds like you guys had a good time. Wish I could've made it but that damn engine was being stubborn.
Oh well. It's in. I'm now free.

I go to Byron a lot and never seen the
track look like that at all.. when it is busy, one person leaves a nasty spot on the track they stop and clean it.....bizarre!
I will try to get with some of you guys and try to work on getting another one going, as it is going to start warming up now. people are getting their cars out of storage and stuff.

Too bad we didn't stay longer at Beef a Roo. We left about 1:45 since no one had shown up for quite a while.

The drive-in in Byron sounds like a winner. If we get a date set and get the word out, I would hope that we would get a good turn out. If Saturdays are bad for most guys, a Sunday would work too.

The only bad weekends for me is June 14-15 and 22-23. The rest of the summer is wide open. Let me know what date works for everyone.

Hey everyone, sorry for posting on your thread but if you all are interested in a group cruise, we are having our club meeting the first saturday of May at Pizza Inn in Peoria, Illinois at 4:30. Group cruise anyone???

 

Maybe I'll have found a decent camaro by the next get together - my little S2 wouldn't really match too well right now (it runs 16s at ~89MPH). My '75 El Camino's a third generation A-body - does that count?

Any thoughts on scheduling our next get together? I know it's only been a couple of weeks since the last one but now that the weather has gotten nice, it makes me want to get out and enjoy it.

Let's get a date selected in the June/ July timeframe so everyone can plan for it.

The NHRA drag races are at the end of this month at route 66 motor speedway.
the tickets are like 55 bucks.. but John force is going to be
there and Pontiac Dragsters are going to be there also.
me and my dad are probably go9ing to be going to that so you should all come down.

Anyone have any thoughts on when another get together should be? I hope we can get a date set so everyone can plan for it. Maybe we could meet at the state park near Oregon and have a picnic and then drive up to Byron and watch anyone that wanted to race.
