Big Al's Shop is now open!!

I have my desktop finaly hooked up and ready to go with scanning software for OBD I systems. After I look around a little more, I will should see if i can get an OBD 2 set up working. I am up at school, but if you want to come down to my house and see what your engine is doing, your sure welcome. No charge, just maybe some food or bee... soda... maybe a thirdgen meet at my house and we can have one big scanning day!! hehehe. Right now it is in desktop form, but looking to get it on a laptop soon. I have 2 already, and a 3rd one on the way. If anyone knows how to work on computers and would like to fix one for me that would be great. One is a 486 with Win 95. It wont load a certain file, which wont let it run winaldl. The other is a 386 that is just brain dead really. I gave up on it and am thinking about restoring it to a numbers matching laptop and bring it to laptop shows across the country... sorry, i know corny. I hope the new laptop will have what im looking for. Neither of the 2 i have, have a CD rom, which sux and none of them hold a charge. I hope the 3rd one is a charm. Then i can go on the road and bring it with me to the track!! Please email, PM, IM, call me if you are interested.

al, have you tried installing windows 95 over itself? sometimes that can replace missing or corrupted files.

don't format everything just yet, try the re-install first, see if that works.

Al I just stumbled upon this thread, I got a jet chip and I dont like it. I just want a chip with the stock stuff, and the top speed limiter removed and all the stuff for the tourqe converter lock up and what ever automatic related junk removed. Let me know if you can do that? I am not sure if you need to see my car to do it, I will pay for the blank chip and all if you want. Let me know, thanks -Pat
