Shop to do engine work and trans work over winter starting in november early december
Ok money is going good right now and i can actually start caring about my car again. First thing is engine work. a rebuild and maybe stroke it to a 383. then i am either going to have the 5 speed rebuilt and beefed up a bit or just throw an automatic trans in there. There is a trans place on 46 west in lodi that always has drag cars outside and i might talk to those guys but can anyone recommend a shop in north jersey that is reasonable with prices. this is also depending if i can ever get approved for a damn car loan.

A few people that I know have been happy with North Jersey Performance. They're up in Emerson, in Bergen County. You should try going to the Whiskey Cafe show on Sat. nights down in Lyndhurst; you'd be able to ask some car owners who did their work, and if they were pleased with it.
Hope that helps ya!

It seems like they moved the shop, so you could try calling first to be sure it's the guys that used to be in Emerson. I believe the owner's name is Richie.
Good luck with the project!
