Carlisle?
I haven't lived in Pennsylvania all that long and haven't been down to Carlisle yet. I'd like to take a trip down there while I'm off for Thanksgiving, but is there anything automotive related down there this time of year? I had in mind going down there with the intentions of finding a late second generation or a third generation Camaro that I could rip apart in my garage over the winter. I want to build a car to drag race over the winter, not having very good luck finding a suitable car. What are some good boneyards and speed shops there that I could hit? Anything else interesting there this time of the year?

nothing much goes on there on weekends there isn't a car show. it is actually a fairly quite little town this time of year. there are a few car lots down there that tend to have interesting stuff, but that is about it. check out www.carsatcarlisle.com to see when the real action occurs

Spring Carlisle on a friday or saturday is a definate must. I'd imagine there is nothing going on down there now.
I went to Gm nationals this past year but went on friday. I was pretty disapointed since there weren't many cars there. Are saturdays much better?

I went down for the GM Nats on friday too. I was a little disappointed but I figured no one except the hardcore vendors would be there. Saturdays are the best days to go, a lot more cars, better car coral and vendors. And man, there is nothing like walking through carlisle when its in the 90s with that good old Pennsylvania humidity.
