I'm going to the pike tomorrow night, I'm not racing though. Just chilling out, maybe checking out a few other F-Bodies.

Just saw a black late 80's formy in real good shape. Must of just been registered because the plate didnt look like it had gone through a ct winter.
Also chiming in for my bro, since I gave him my IROC.

Hey gang, check out www.ctunderground.com

We're new CT Based Domestic Site - we're going to have track rentals (road and 1/4), cruise nights, shows, meets, etc.

Check it out, sign up, introduce yourself. A few members do still frequent the pike, as bad as it has gotten.

Its 1 mile from my front door to the main entrance of the speedway. I used to live in Sterling back in 1989.
I Lived in Mass for 14 years but Im back because of house prices. I remember when Plainfield and Griswold used to duke it out at the Mcdonalds near the dog track. Oh' the good ole days.

it was people who did that, that contributed to the ruining of the pike as a cruise scene...

If you don't have a thirdgen, why do you post on THIRDGEN.ORG? Well, anyway, you take your mustang to the pike?

Been here since 01 or so, and have actually made a lot of friends here. Came here to get infor for my cousin about his 86 TA, and stayed even though Im not sure if he still has the car! Been through 3 screen names, and probably 3000 posts! I am always at the pike. This year havent been there much and my car is changing a ton, but once its done I will be up there!

anybody else from around my neck of the woods? all i see around here nowadays are arrogant kids in hondas..im sorry, but im thinkin that the cars nowadays (and the crap music) just sucks. i mean, what the heck happened? when i was in high school, the cool kids had big blocks and metallica and gunsnroses and BLACK SABBATH t shirts!!!!! And remember the def leppard bandannas and roach clip with feathers that was required to be on the rear view mirror? huh? huh? i remember the first thirdgen i saw..it was brand new (probably an 82) and my next door neighbor had it..love at first sight. it was so different looking than anything else out there. he took me for a ride in it..we went to the beach by chick's in west haven..ill never forget that day. and i remember my moms good friend came over one day, with a brand spankin new 86 berlinetta! black on black..the digital dash was sooooo cool...she had just picked it up that day from dworkin chevrolet. then my first iroc z experience..it was at nolan field in ansonia, the guy was playing tennis with his friend it was red and it was soooo beautiful..i was awestruck. i remember the guys friend said "gee the kids really like this car dont they?" lol i ride by there most every day..and think of that car. ive been a camaro fan since wayback. thats what im talkin about..do the kids nowadays see a 2007 honda civic and say oh man! that car is friggin beautiful!!! does it stay with them and will they remember that moment 25 years later? anyway? i dont know where im going with this, but POST UP if you hear what im saying!! i miss being a kid i guess. but the funny thing is all i have to do is pop off my t tops and crank up some DOKKEN...or some DIO... and it takes me right back. to a different time...the 80s.
