V6 to V8 swap emissions questions Ohio

Hey everyone.

I was just wondering wether or not it would be possible to put a v8 into a stock v6 1987 camaro and still pass emissions in ohio? I have been told that it would have to pass the emissions standards for a v6?

Thanks in advance

P.S. if i can pass emissions, what would this cost to have done?

yes you could pass, as long as the v8 is in decent shape. you will have to go against the v6 standards since they go by VIN, not current motor.

price to have a motor swap done depends on alot of variables...
