Newburgh/Poughkipsie
Anyone live in Newburgh NY or nearby areas such as Fishkill, Middletown, Poughkipsie, etc........ Im trying to gather people from the local area who are into Firebirds and Camaro's. I been thinking of starting like a group or club type thing. Nothing overly serious. Just for get togethers (look and tlk about the cars, ride arounds, little races here and there.) and stuff. I guess thirdgens owners would be cool, but any gen F'bird or Camaro owners are cool with me. So if you live in the area hit me up. If you have a myspace account, Im on there sometimes and I have a few pics of my ride on there, you can send a request my way if ya want. ( www.myspace.com/rmknight64 )

Yeah i know some of those 4th gen guys....I really dont socialize with them because they are really cocky...I like both, I used to have a 86 TA, but the frame rails rotted out...it sucked.

Re: Newburgh/Poughkipsie
Nice car. I eventually want to own two third gens (F'bird and Camaro), but wont be getting a second one until Im done fixing up mines. I saw a Camaro about 15 min from my house with the same scheme as my car, black and gold and it was for sale. I wish I had the money for it. I'd like to own twins, but one being a camaro and the Other my TA. Theres also a white Camaro 5speed manual I think about 5 min from my house. Guy is asking 7k, went down from 8.5k I think and I think it has very low miles. Car looks to be near mint from what I've seen. I think its a z28 or an Iroc, cant remember. But yeah man very nice. When do you plan to go to Middletown again, or will you be in the Newburgh area soon?

Whats up fellas......Middletown/Wawayanda here. I always wanted to check out the middletown show, my kids would love it. I may go this week.Lookin forward to seeing some 3rd gens.I always am looking while im driving around. Our cars were dime a dozen in the 80's, now its cool to see an occasional crap box drive by even!
Hope ya feel better soon Mel,I remembered you saying you were gonna be layed up.(nice car by the way). When you feel better(if youre up to it) maybe we could make plans for you to check out my TPI setup,it's still givin me intermittent problems. Let me know if youre interested.

I'm from New Paltz. That group things sounds interesting. I'm looking for a Project Car to work on next summer. I just started looking around. Do any of you local guys know of any later model 3rd gen. for sale that would be a good project? I would prefer if it ran so i would not have to tralier, it but running is not a necessity.
