Looking at purchasing 2 camaros
Hi, everyone, this will be my first post and i'm going to need tons and tons of opinions. I saw 2 camaros one is a 79(350,auto) iroc z and a 91 rs(305,auto). I'll talk about the 79 first. It's a white iroc with brown interior(all power). The interior is mint mint, I was so amazed by the interior it was shocking. The car starts up runs and sounds good. It has a hurst shifter(which I never used before). The car has rust!!! both rear quarter panels, the framing on the front and rear windsheild. The frame I couldnt see to well has rust flaking and bubble rust around most areas also behind the gas tank there is rot. But for sure I know the front fenders, the rear quarters, the edges around the front(pieces of metal missing on drivers side) and rear windsheild and behind the gas tank is rotting. The lower part of the door jambs front and rear(part of rear quarter im guessing?) also has some rotting. I'm going to check more under the car soon.
Now the 91 has a 305 w/t tops, and drivers door hinge issue(guy is giving me another door). The mileage is unreliable and the odometer reads 289000, but previous owner said that it skipped from 99999 to 200000. So it could be 189000 or 289000(carfax wasnt completed but I can get one). No one knows the deal with it. Other than a little bubbling rust on the drivers side quarter it looks pretty good and nice interior also. I really wanted the 91 to be a 350, but they are very hard to find at a low price. I would still actually prefer to buy one thats a 350.
I have to check these cars out thorougly, especially the under carriage. I am worried about the rust on the 79. The guy has offered me the price of $3000 for both. I havent driven them yet to see how they drive. So let me know what everyone thinks. Thanks!!

Re: Looking at purchasing 2 camaros
No good. The 1979 has cancer and it sounds terminal. It would cost you more than 3000 to get the body work and parts and paint. The 91 has too many miles. You can get much better deals than those. I have an 86 Iroc-Z Tuned Port Injection camaro with quarter panel rust with 82,000 original miles that I'll give you for $600!!!
