I'm looking for a decent performance shop in Western / Central MA or Northern CT. I'm debating between fixing my leaky LO3, or rebuilding it with some speed parts, or dumping it and going with a 350. If I do either of the last 2 ideas, I'll need a place that can do competent rebuild/install work, and can properly tune OBDI.

Any help is appreciated!! I don't want to blindly start calling around shops, not knowing anyone's reputation...

Well, there isn't much left around here. Many speedshops & builders went under after Riverside Speedway was unceremoniusly ripped out by Six Flags. There is RAD in Ludlow, but it seems to be hit and miss quality. I've heard both good & bad, plus a couple of horror stories. One was from a good friend. They apparently assembled the short block without fully cleaning out all of the shavings. He pumped oil through the block & a lot of debris washed of it...He tore it down and rechecked everything. He discovered that some of the tolerances were borderline out of spec. Maybe kinda Ok for your avg. daily beater... Anyway, go to www.necamaro-firebird.org. Its a localized Third Gen club that a group of us started a few months ago. You'll find a few leads from some of the guys there. We've got some turbo'd rides & some really potent engines.
