My son graduates auto mechanics school in June and just started work
at Pep Boys. I have a 91 Camaro RS v6 auto with 105k that's straight and clean. I want to give him the car for graduation to build into a track car.
Which is the best way to go? Crate engine? How is this year for building a quarter mile car out of? I'm looking at investing $10k max to get it to run competitive locally. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

^ With a budget of $10,000.00, I would seriously consider an LS1 swap. If your a good shopper, you can pick up everything you would need from a wrecked 4th Generation F-Body donor car for approximately five grand. Throw the other five in making it all work, along w/mods, and you'll be more than competitive, lemme tell ya....

I went to the fu.kin auto show on Friday and was very pissed off they did not have a Camaro on display..... Now they have it
