if there is a cruise, i hope its not soon. i just bought my 84, and the exhaust leak on the 2.8l makes it sound like a cammed 350 haha. not to mention the gremlins ive been running into that are hiding in the wiring haha.

 

I doubt that it would be any sooner than April or May

There will certainly be a cruise, but most of us wait until the salt / sand is gone after a few good rains. I'm looking forward to breaking my engine in soon as well though so I might not wait for the sand at least.

 

 

I should have waited, but last weekend I took it out to datalog. Now more than before I can't wait for the driving season.

 

i doubt that i will have my car back anytime soon. my cuz is doing the body work on it and he is taking his sweet time doing it.

Smoke, I know its got to suck waiting for him to be finished, but look at it this way, im sure the car will look sick when its finnaly finished.

Once i finalize the paperwork and all that on my own place, the camaros heading into the paint booth (my garage) and not coming out until it has a fresh coat of paint on it!

 

2 Red ext / black int 1LE's no doubt!! He's got me beat by 30k+ miles though

What town are you from 86Z? I think I was eating at subway in windsor locks by the airport and your car was outside. I recognized it because of the rims and the fact that it was pretty modded, with the brakes and all. This was a while back....probably during the summer.

I'm out of Suffield. Car will be off the road for a little longer, unfortunately!

My car is currently on the road, but will probably not be much this season. I have a big to do list, but hope to get most of it done in the early season. Im hoping by june/july at the latest it will be back on the road.

whitedevilTA, saw your project thread on here, looks GREAT, keep up the good work.

 

I guess its safe to say that cruising season is just about here in CT. Maybe not quite warm enough for putting the t-tops away (although last week was terrific) but we had a ton of rain lately that I'm sure washed away the nasty salt and winter grime.

My car will be road worthy in a few weeks if things go according to plan... if not sooner!

 

I'm ready soon. I had the car out for about 2 weeks before I blew pump #6 last week and that makes 6 in the last year. Yes, 6 pumps since last March. New pump is here Friday and I know the issue causing it and am in the midst of fixing that plus installing a Lakewood driveshaft safety loop which requires me to pull the front seats and peel back the carpet. While I'm doing that I'm probably going to just pull the whole interior so I can install new black carpet. I should be ready in less than 2 weeks.

 

Just starting my bodywork last night after reduilding the tranny - and all new suspension etc all the way around for the last 8 months. I started under the car and now I've gotten to the point where I can stand up and work on it! Hope to get the body at least to the point of primer in a month. Been working on this car since July fairly steady and all I've done is a 1 minute drive after I got it running to prove it was worth rebuilding. I'd really like to at least take it for a drive!

 

I took my 91 for a little test drive today... here's what she looked like:




But I know she runs pretty good! Won't be long before she's completely back together.

Anyone in the South Eastern CT area know anything about fixing leaking ttops, and want to lend a fellow third gen-finatic a hand trying to solve my dripping issue?

Just an FYI, NECF is having its annual Spring Meet at Goddard State Park in RI on Fathers Day. There's gonna be a good number of us there. We'll have food and fun. All we ask is that you bring a something to add to the meal, a chair, and perhaps your 3rd Gen. We'll have burger, dogs, and all of the goodies everyone's bringing. Hope to see you all there!

yup we were there. me & wife, panara first then went down to BK. didnt see any 3rd gen camaros?
