Need help with motor in massachusetts!!!

I have an 89 5.0 tbi convert. camaro- i have no spark-changed cap and rotor, still nothing. The car is stuck in Belmont, Ma- is there anyone in the area who can give me a hand figuring out what is wrong?!?!?! Obviously I'll pay for the help, I just dont have the 300 to tow it home, plus cost of repair. I can do suspension and brakes and all that stuff, but I don't know motors, and don't have any of the tools to diagnose the million potential causes! Help!

I appreciate the sentiment. I just really don't want to get myself in serious trouble, which is a huge possibility.

Re: Need help with motor in massachusetts!!!

easy way is if the coil is seperate from the cap. just take the coil wire off the cap & hold it near something metal while someone cranks the car. similar to how you would for a sparkplug wire. Make sure you dont hold it to something electronic. Keep in mind you dont really want to zap yourself it stings alittle.
