Hey Steve, you're a car guy, and that is plenty cool. The fact that you have a cool Monte SS is great!

Ricers are people who get "mommy's" civic or someting like tthat for the night, think it's fast, and race it around. It's all about how they think there POS is fast but not. I have seen many imports in the area that are very fast. I go to suny farmingdale and there 2 twin turbo supras and a few GST and GSX's these cars are animals. I don't wanna start an importt war here but i wanted to clear that up. *****=not a fast car......

The car that you might have seen that I used to drive there ( about 3 or 4 years ago) was a 68' that has a light green (white at night), black around the rear with a stripe that ran up the side, 2 purple stripes on the side, a fiberglass L-88 hood that has purple scallops on a black field, and purple scallops on the rear deck. Look through my web page to see it.

Middletown here also....
Hey Onebad82, does your first name start with J? I think I know who you are amigo. If it is you, youll remember me and my loud 22 second 83 Grand Prix, lol. At least this year I can show up and not have to park near Shop Rite due to embarassment, heh.
Got a 85 Iroc with a 383 TPI and a few other mods as well now. Compared to the Grand Prix man, its sick. PM me if it is you *JW*, so I can email you about some stuff.
That Grand Prix PoS is going into Silver Lake I swear to *** now, lol.

What up, BobbyZ. I have a red iroc convertible and a brown 79 malibu. I was up at nathans last thursday with the IROC. It was kinda wack. The cops were pullin people over for no reason, then tried to kick everyone out at 11. A bunch of VW's from VWvortex.com showed up, and except for a sweet 67 firebird, one second gen, my third gen, and one fourth gen, it was all rice. Pretty soon I'll start going down to Zerega and the point again, now that the malibu is coming together. I should be going up to nathans this thursday, so if you want to meet up, drop me an email. Later
If you guys want to get Thirdgen.org stickers, I'm down. Is it possible to get the ones without any adhesive?

yeah i was up there late last weekend in my friends 10 second silver t-type no one was left except the vw crew. so as we are leaving the cops pull us over for no reason then proceeded to have my friend open up his hood and trunk and told him that the fuel cell in the trunk was nitrous so after about 30 mins they let us go and the red 67 firebird is actually my friends friend (i think he is selling it)
i have not been to hunts point or zerega in about 3 weeks the cops over there are all over the place arresting people and all that good stuff.
as for what i drive it's a wreck right now 1985 z28 w/t-tops
im slowly fixing it up and i mean slowly lol
i'll be up at nathans this thursday i'll keep an eye out for ya
and im usually at the dunking donuts on bronx river road alot
just trying to stay out of trouble lol
see ya later

I was up there thursday for a little while. I left like half an hour after I got there to go look at a set of IROC rims that turned out to be Z-28 rims. No cops were there though, but my friend who had one of the silver GTI's said the cops showed up around 11. He said there were people hanging out in the lot behind Best Buy, and the cops hadn't noticed them. I used to hang out at the Dunkin Donuts on BX river rd before we'd all go down to the point. Cops never really bothered us there, but that was like 2 summers ago. We really need to get Thirdgen.org stickers. I can get regular vinyl stickers made up without a problem, but I'm not sticking any crap on my car. I want to find out about some static, non-adhesive stickers so we don't have to F up our paint or windows. Maybe license plate covers too. I know I can get them made up.

I didn't know that was you, you shoulda said what up. Now I know what car to look for. I have a posi rear if you need it. You might want to change the gears cause I think a tooth is missing from the ring gear. It's yours if you want it, I just want to get it out of my basement. I'm taking the malibu out this thursday, so if you see a fugly brown malibu with monteSS rims, that's me. Are you gonna be at Dunkin Donuts?

Yo Bobby. What happened to you last night? I saw you behind us when we were getting on the parkway, but when I came to the exit at the first light you weren't there. We really needed you up there. The kid in the blue jetta is who I was waiting for. I'm cool with the big kid in the accord, but his boy in with the armani exchange shirt is a herb. The kid is running his mouth about turbo's and import bull****, and how he has tuned imports, but he doesn't understand how to work on domestics. Right, and what does he work on those imports with, his fisher price my-first-wrench set? I felt like asking him how exactly he "tunes" an import, but I restrained myself. I did ask him,"How do you deal with turbo lag? You must be pretty patient." I have to get the malibu finished so I can really start to talk ****. Last night I advanced the timing a little more and took all the crap out of my trunk and it really felt like it was running strong. I took it to the point around 2 last night, but there were mad cops, and then the rain started so I bounced. Once again, congrats on the 14.1, later.

Hey larry what's up? i've been offline for a while my computer crashed. anything new going on? sorry about that night i got on the parkway and had to turn around the car was bucking like a horse. i duuno why but it has not done it since i think my converter locked up and would'nt unlock im not sure. i have'nt really been driving the camaro to much the inspection is up and you know how that goes lol. i've just been sanding and priming it latley trying to get all that black crap off that was on it. it's not coming out that bad but of corse it could be better. and to top it off im not working right now so things are going slow.
anyway im still at D&D all the time so i'll catch ya there
anyway im still at D&D all the time so i'll catch ya there
What up Bobby. I was wondering what happend to you cause I saw you when I got on the parkway, but once I got on the bronx river we lost you. I drove by DD around 10 last thursday before going up to central, but I didn't see you. My boss said I have to go to this technical seminar this thursday in Long Island from 7:30 to 10, so I don't know if I'll get up there. I just tried to reconnect the lockup switch for my torque converter and it stayed locked up and my car was bucking like a bitch. I tried switching from manifold vaccum to ported vaccum and it didn't help. Try unplugging the harness going to the trans and see if it helps. I really wish I just got a non lockup converter. I'm worried that running it without the lockup will make it wear out prematurely. Another wonderful suprise I got while working on the malibu sunday was that my secondaries aren't opening. JET Performance can lick my taint cause they "rebuilt" it and it leaks like a bastard and now I find out the secondaries aren't opening. Like an Ahole I've been wondering this whole time why i ran out of power by 4000RPM, thinking I need an MSD or roller rockers. Right. So tonight I think I'm going to order a 670 street avenger and a TV cable bracket, and whatever other crap I'm going to need. Also, in the next day or so I'm ordering a new set of vortec heads, so pretty soon I'll be selling the ones on my car. They need a valve job and just to be checked out in general. I'm changing them cause I have this tapping, and it's either a valve or a lifter, and I'm changing everything. The other thing is that I'm running too much lift to use them without machine work. The only thing saving them now is the offset keepers. You aren't running a sick amount of lift, so most likely you would only have to spend the $120 on a valve job. Anyway, I'll try to catch up with you thursday. Later.

Yo, do any of you guys know a good place where i can get my t-top area 'redone'? I basically need new weather stripping on the t-tops themselves, and on the ttop area. Also, i have a little spot of rust up there, from where water has accumulated... i want to get that sanded and fixed also.

I have always loved 3rd gens just for the simple fact they are respected and easy to work on. Plus at high speeds it give taht feeling of somewhat death kid of. Such an adreilin rush. When I get my 86 back the 88 is going in the shop and getting all the old 86 goodies. And a brand new paint job. Maybe a green, dark purple, or orange. maybe even yellow. don't know yet but i will have 2 3rd gens ont he road by the winter. If not just one and a winter beater car. What color is the 88 you got? maybe i'll see ya at the track. I have plans for mustang v. f-body on june 22 at e-town. hopefully have the cage in and suspension all done by then. do you know any place that does good work? I was jsut going to go to Zratedmotorsports and have them do my work but they want a lot of money for their parts unless i get them myself and bring them there.

also, you might wanna contact north jersey performance, they do good work but not pricey, they're in emerson, NJ. Zrated motorsports are good, they use East Coast supercharging for installation...they're in montclair, nj

Do you got a # for North Jersey Performance? I spoke with Bill from Zrated and he said he might be able to help me a lil bit with prices so that might be good. Do you think it is a bad idea to buy the parts and tehn bring it to a place that sells them to do it like Zrated? if not I'm jsut going to go there. I can get a 8 point cage instead of the 6 for cheaper and the same quality with swingouts on both sides for cheaper then the 6 i was going to get. All i would need is the suspension parts from Zrated which arent priced bad at all

Zrated are good peoples....i know both of the guys (bill and chris) personally. and i've been to their shop many many times. They do quality work. They'll take care of ya.
North Jersey Performance # is 201-262-4736. They also do good work. The IROC went there for the manifold porting.
