)86 sport coupe. What's up guys,
From Bellingham here, but I grew up in North Smithfield. While living at my folks place I had a 83 Berlinetta and a 82 Z-28. Both were black. Now I just have my 82. It's got a fresh black paint job and used to have American Racing aluminum slots on it. I'm a bit undecided on rims right now..so it rolls on my buddies rims from his 68 Blue Cutlass Ragtop.
Anyone go to Sharons Ice Cream?
Take care guys, and if you see me with my 82Z give me a yell!

I will be getting a New POSI carrier installed in my Berlinetta on the 6th-7th. I'll be looking to travel to the A&W on the Tuesday after it's done - or; the next tuesday when the weather is good after it's installed !
I still need to 'tweek' the shift points because of the new gears and put the 92 Z28 wheels back on it (it's got 4th gen 'salad shooters' on it now) The car can be driven now without a problem - I even got a 13.8 quarter mile time the other day with the POSI being burnt out,........ But I would rather wait until the job is done before placing it in a croud of gear-heads !!!!

I have an 82 with an 86 rear and need to install posi and some fresh 3:73's and looking for a reputable shop who knows what they are doing. Thanks.
When is everyone going to A&W?

Thanx Sal !
I actually did a little more work to the interior over the winter,.... 7 option buttons on the console, Door mounted cup-holders, auto dimming mirror WITH dual map-lights, Ect.... I even managed to get all 8 speakers in my BOSE system tuned right ! (But I think I blew a front amp last week !)
As far as the rear-end work,....... the guy I had load the new gears was a butcher. I gave him a perfectly good rear end and after I reinstalled it and took it for the FIRST ride I ended up with a dead POSI carrier and a bent Axle. He didn't torque the new backing plates and when I parked the car I had fluid in both wheel wells - I thought it was brake fluid because that was the last thing I had installed, but when I investigated I found it was gear oil. He gave me the "I worked with what you gave me" attitude. (If it was a bad rear than WHY did he even work on it in the first place !?!?! It's Because his forgetfulness caused the problems! ) He was referred to me by a "friend".
DON"T HAVE ANY WORK DONE AT "GEORGE'S" on 117 in Cov, RI !!!
The guy loading the new carrier was highly recommended by the shop that re-built my tranny....... he's an ex-racer and knew exactly what was going on in my rear (a 9-bolt) with minimal explanation from me. When I told him who did the gear swap - he just rolled his eyes.
RF---- It sounds like you have a *bit* more than a thousand into the car now !!! And by the way - You will ALWAYS be in need of some "fine tuning" !!! It's just the nature of the game !!!
Looking forward to getting to the A&W soon !! I don't think I can get there on the 7th' (maybe!) ,.... but the 14th looks promising !
Frobozz - A&W is a good spot because even if a few of us from this board can't meet with you - There will be plenty of other rides to look at !

No chance for me to get there tonight,....... I Had to pick up the 95Z from the front end shop. I had all the wheels balanced and a front end alignment. Then took the car to the highway and rode it to 115 - it's MUCH more stable than it was !!!
Hoping for next week !!!!!

I'm from Cranston, as you can read in my location thingy.
I've got a '89 Firebird that sits in the driveway, with a 305 that's going to be a healty carbed car, soon.
Nitroburn is from Hope, RI. I don't think he frequents this board, tho.

Thirdgen Row @ A&W !
I Just wanted to display a picture from the Car show in Smithfield last Tuesday !
There was a total of 5 Thirdgen's in the parking lot that night - 1 Berlinetta, 2 Z28's, 1 IROC, & 1 Firebird...... (The kid in the IROC stuck with his "*****" buddies and did not socialize with us !)
Our cars were parked away from most of the "antiques" and still had a pretty good draw from the crowd of onlookers !
I'm not sure when - But I am sure to take the ride to A&W again !! I get a 45 minute ride with no kids in the back seat, the T-Tops down, the BOSE system Blaring, and my heavy-*** foot on the throttle !!! What could be better --- !
P.S. There are also cruise nights in Garden City in Cranston on Mondays and in Cumberland behind Mickey-D's on Friday nights. (ask RFCAMARO28H for directions !).
And don't forget the Chevy Show on June 30th in Diamond Hill park !!!!

Hi guys,
Hank from Johnston. Anyone going to the Chevy show in cumberland? My car will be delivered that day. Maybe I can get it up there with a temporary plate. Are the allowing Chevy powered cars there or strictly cars with bowties on the grill? I will probably start mods on the following Monday. Summit should be dropping off a whole bunch of good stuff this week. I just got the Mega-shifter in like the above picture in John's car. The box says camaro and firebird but the trim piece around shifter looks like its for camaro only.
