sure here are some pics. excuse teh dirty engine bay
they are not chrome plated. I bought them used so I didn't have to deal with breaking them in and stuff. I know when you buy them new they come painted black for protection during shipping, but it burns off once you run them on the car. If I were you I would just sand all that off and then get some high temp paint and paint them. Thats what I did with mine and the paint is holding up pretty good. doesnt look that bad either
It hasn't flaked off that much, only in the spots where I preped it poorly. I will let you know what brand paint I used tommorow. It worked pretty good for being a spray paint type coating.
teaser pic of paint :lala:

thanks man!
but about 3 hours too late lol
just ordered my own edelbrock shortie headers, at the last moment, i said **** it, and i ordered the ceramic coated ones.
should be here soon this week
i know people say edelbrocks are ****, but from your opinion, how much difference did you notice?
a few people say anything aftermarket opens these engines up good. perhaps they are just **** compared to all other aftermarket headers, but they are still tons better then the manifolds eh?

i ordered them through jegs
http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...96&prmenbr=361
part number # 350-68722
$439.99 with shipping and everything, a few cents under $460 bucks.
and i still have my mccord electric cutout valve sitting here, so im gonna chop a section out of my Y pipe, and weld that in, keeping the stock muffler and cat-back, so i can go from dead quite, to rippin loud in a matter of a few seconds lol

I have the edelbrock tes headers. They need prep work. The air tubes stick down inside each header about 1/4". That should all be ground flush. That's why I didn't buy mine coated. Now that all the prep work is finished, I'll have them coated here locally.

the ceramic coated ones will look better and last longer. the headers definetly helped out a lot. I noticed a nice improvement in torque when I get on it from a stop and my car also pulls harder in the uper rpms. also sounds a lot louder. My car has always ran quiet for some reason, and the exhaust has a hollow tone. It idles louder now but it really improved the sound once you give it some gas
It sounds awesome for an lg4. They will be no doubt better than the little manifolds. Supreme Member

Your car is going to be loud! When I was driving the muffler shop to get my y-pipe welded on I was looking out everywhere for cops. At idle it was loud but once you get on the gas just a little its like damn! How are cops around your area?
I will get some pics up soon for you guys. I just need to load them up and host them.
