Lol who are you talking to? Drunk already?

I'm curious as to how much of a difference that Stealth Ram is going to make to your powerband, should be quite a leap in the right direction lol

I found out I have a 305. stamp 201 on the block says it all. Just great, I have the worst performance oriented configuration, an auto 305 It is time to save for a manual conversion. I'm pretty pissed that the owner lied, but oh well nothing i can do now.

It's all good Robby. You could always save your money and put in a 350. I would keep the auto tranny, but that's my 2 cents. Atleast you have TPI.

Work with what ya got for now, new engine dreams don't sound like they are in your new future.
I knew that had to be a 305, it would've had to been really messed up to be a full second + away from normal.

Nice ride.
'01 huh?
I wanna race it!

Those were on par with the TA/SS of the year as far as hp, but not in torque.
Wonder what it runs in the 1/4, high 13 at the worst?
I usually see the crappy pre 99 Cobras, or new ones that I don't stand a chance against.

yeah you can really tell its lacking the torque to really move a sports car and a vert but it can move, took it up to an effortless 90mph merging onto the freeway and I have to say its a nice fast car

The 01 cobras weren't too fast.An ss or ws6 would take one down. They weren't super charged but I think they had pi heads and a different cam.Not a bad ride though for sure.I think they're high 13's,could be wrong though.

I also just sold my mustang for 1,000 bucks.I wanted 2,000 but since I'm moving I figured I just wanted it outta here,no shipping parts, hauling the carkus(sp) away.Oh,well,I got the 6,000 I wanted out of it.

Yeh, like I said, on par with the ponies, but the lack of 20- 30lbs of torque seems to be all that separated them from the
ws6/ss that were running mid 13's guaranteed or better.

I wonder how much over 300 my flywheel hp is, if at all.
I figure if Alex was knockin' on the door in the 290's, I should be just a little over.

I've driven it a couple times if we meet next weekend I may bring it out its cool to drive but I still need to get used to the driving position its like driving a truck Im used to driving the Iroc and the vette which both have you sitting low but the mustang you sit pretty high its like your sitting on the car instead of in it

That is a steal at $10g's.
He seems like he might even go a bit lower.
You'd be smoking most cars on the road, 'vettes/new cobras included.
360@ the wheels = 425+ flywheel hp, amazing.
Mid 12's if you could drive it.
I've talked to a couple guys with the LS1 swap in 3rd gens and 1 guy in an rx8, they've all been pleased.
That would definitely be a head turner, from the inside/out.

That car is sick Steve, you have to buy it. As Del said, $10g's is a freaking steal, I have that much into my car and it doesn't come close to that car. I was thinking of painting my car hugger orange, now that I have seen it on a thirdgen I really like it and will keep that color in mind. Keep us updated Steve.

I like the color you have on your car now Will. But you can paint your car whatever color you want of course.

Keep the Hugger Orange for the Firstgens IMHO.

It is a steal!I figure,if I get that,I'll have some money left over for some nice smoothies or something and still have about 8 g's left.I just hope he still has it when I'm ready.I will be all moved in about 3 weeks so it won't be long after that.
Keep it grey Will,I like grey and silver on these cars, looks clean. If I get that camaro I will probably do it chrysler platnum.

I think Grand Nationals are ugly.
The 3.8 Turbo Buick motor however, is beautiful.

I like the idea of the LS1 swap, but wouldn't necessarily want to drive a car that somebody else put all their ideas/work into
inside/out already.
That's a beautiful car, but I guess I wouldn't feel a connection to it.
I guess that doesn't make sense to most folks.
Sure you could paint it, but that'd be silly over a nice job already.
As I think some of us have learned, once you invest so much $ into our cars, it's hard to find somebody who wants it exactly as we've made it for what we want for it.
This guy has put 20G's into the car and already dropped it $4000 from what he first asked, to half that.
For that reason it is a steal no matter how you look at it, and I'm sure you could change it around a bit to your liking and still retain the value that LS1 brings it.

Although I agree with you Del, because he would be getting such a deal on the car Steve could use the extra money to customize the car to him and his liking, that's what I would do. Buy that car Steve.

I'm going to get ahold of him and send him a couple thousand to hold it for a month. It will get my custom touches as the engine and tranny would be what I already wanted so that wouldn't need to be changed.I will do rims and looks like I'd need to lower it a tad.4th gen seats(after sitting in Alex's car it's a must).I'm sure nobody felt a connection to their car when they first got it but after some allterations and few mods they did, same with this,no point in me spending the $$$ and busted knuckles if I can find one already done.Don't get me wrong,as with any car I will be doing some changes and some other mods but right now I don't really want something I have to dump a lot of cash into, just something that's a blast to drive and looks great.

Umm, I still want the g.n.

I wouldn't sell the money pit to get it though....just get it and add it into the mix!
