Sure, then on 9/1 the oil companies would lose 4.6billion...then proably raise fuel prices the next day and make 12 billion.
It is very simple, gas is taugh in a econ class as one of the most inelastic products that exists... this means that as price goes up the sales stay nearly the same. So what if nobody buys it for a day, we all need to buy the next day, or the day after. If you want gas companies to choke on their stockpiles get every SUV owner getting 7 miles to the gallon driving by themselves to get a Prius....

What did we do in the West forum to deserve this spam attack? Nobody can talk to someone in the Bay Area about gas prices until you've filled up here.
Here's what I have been focusing on lately:

I pay 2.99 from chevron for 91. F*cking 10.4:1 compression. Oh well, if we were worried about gas mileage we wouldn't drive V8s
