Nothing is wrong with is wrong w/ 500hp out of a 383... unless of course it has LPT1~~ errrr TPI sitting on top.
I guess he's planning to ditch the FI.

I'm fairly certain the Stealth Ram would support that kind of power. As for the engine itself, get the proper induction/tune and 500HP is a GO...
I don't know why time & time again people doubt this number.

Yeah. For something that intense, I'd save a load of time running some real-time PROM simulator software.

HSR > Stupid Ram + all others.
Any cowl would fit nice, but what about a drop base air cleaner with your stock hood, I always liked the stock GTA hood.
BTW, spiritinblack, are you a SlayeR fan?

Travis - I bet you can make some serious #'s running the HSR as it will allow your 383 to BREATHE up into the 6k rpm range. That's where you'll find your #'s... something that TPI absolutely will not support.
Vin - Until HSR comes w/ a CARB cert., I'm moving forward w/ my SR...

I remeber there being some talk about releasing a version that was CARB cert'd. Prolly not enough market like many things for the 3rd gens.

there are a few tpi setups running 500hp. they're all boosted though. check out the tpi and power adder sections, the guys pushing that much hp out of tpis hang around here sometimes.
the reason you never see an ltr setup running that much hp is because everyone that has the knowledge to make a motor that powerful knows enough to dump the tpi. but that doesn't mean you can't do it.
