Sounds nice Steve, like it might even take on the mighty Cross-Fire, lol. Glad to hear it's running strong, sounds like you have good plans for the car now and in the future. Headers and 3.42 gears will be nice and make a big difference I am sure, let us know what she does at the track, good luck.

Wouldn't I have to purchase new wheels too as the 4th's are wider?I haven't checked into swapping so I don't know yet what it would involve.

Terrell, where you at with your Z? Is that a "gov-lock" rear?
WTF is a gov-lock differential?

I've had 2 - 9 bolts and they weren't that bad.Gears and shafts on the otherhand might be a different story. If I don't buy one now then something will come up and I will have to use the money elswhere.I may just do a 10 bolt 3.23 disc rear. One of the yards up here wants 600 for a 3.23 rear

rancho ripoff told me $400 for a 98+ rear w/o tcs and w/ any gear ratio I wanted, and thats disk to disk
caddy- just let me know if/when you want the rear and I'll take it off the car.

Also, I have a friend who goes to Sac every other week or so. He said he's be cool with picking it up for me provided you are not too far out. What's yer ZIP?
Tony can tell us what a gov-lock diff is... (I think). This is all I could find on the subject.

I think it's still good but the tailshaft of the tranny has some play. With the driveshaft installed I can wiggle it a little bit and watch the slip yoke move inside the housing.Iam going to replace the bushing in the tailhousing, ujoints, install the aluminum driveshaft, and an es torque arm mount this weekend after I install the new tranny in my 4runner.

Way to go on the aluminum driveshaft Steve, I want one too, hopefully this summer or so. I too have heard the aluminum driveshafts will help with vibrations, that's why I need one too. Good luck, let me know how it goes.

i'm about to buy a set of those for the rear shocks to replace my kyb's.
the whole set is pretty pricey, my front kyb struts are okay for now.

I've heard that the hd's are a great match for the pro kit.I don't know about sportline.I was thinking about switching the springs to the sportlines though.http://www.eshocks.com/bil_veh.asp?M...rolet&Manf=All

I don't think it was vibing then.I know it's driveline related though. The ujounts could be replaced, the slip yoke moves around in the tranny a little bit so I think the bushing in the tailhousing is worn.I had to put it all back together sunday so I will take it apart again this weekend and find out for sure. With the aluminum shaft, ujoints, and bushing,it should be fixed. The rear end is whining loud though so that needs to be replaced soon. The fuel pump stopped whining though
I just yanked the vent off. It's supposed to let fresh air in the tank to offset the fuel used and it wasn't doing that.
Bypass is staying.
