Best headers? Most of this board will recommend the Hooker 2055s. Stay away from Flowtechs.

Best catback exhaust? Depends on what noise level you like. Any aftermarket catback is good (except flowmaster) as long as it's at least 3 inches in diameter.

For some more exhaust info, check out the link in my sig to my backpressure FAQ.

Cam? If you want it to pass smog without some work I wouldn't go bigger than about 218 duration (dual pattern or single) @ .50. That seems to be the uppermost limit for easy ca smog. I'm going with a cam that has over 230 duration (dual pattern), but I also have the hookup.

Rear Gears? For a TBI you can go a bit bigger than a TPI car. If you get a cam I'd highly recommend 3.73s to help you get into the powerband a bit quicker. You could go 4.10 if you want, but it's a little much for most people. I don't mind mine, but you might.

Oh yeah.. get a freakin' posi.

Also look into a good torque converter for when you get that cam. Look at something that stalls around 2500-3000 with a low STR rating so you don't cook the tires on the street.

Remember with a TBI tuning is a MUST. After you do a full exhaust and maybe the intake, you'll want to start looking at a chip.
