im curious too, my synchros feel like they're on the way out. debating between having it done, or muddling through it myself. I've done several autos (700s, 350s, 400s) but never a stick. Did watch someone do a T-5, but the T-56 is a different ball game.

oh dude, i ordered my ws6store short stick last night

How's that LS7 clutch? Wonder if that would bolt up to my car.. I heard you had to use an LS2 flywheel though.

urbanhunter , great choice on the short stick. i love my 6' ws6 store short stick. Urban you could always take ur tranny to the palce that did mine. He did a great job but too over a month do get it done. As far as my ls7 clutch, it feels great, the clutch grabs a little sooner then the stock z06 clutch but I have gotten used to it. If u don't like how the clutch grabs sooner, you could always put a shim behind the slave cylinder. the clutch petal feels exactly like my stocker. in order to use the ls7 clutch, u need to have an ls2 flywheel. I dunno if the ls2 flywheel will work on an lt-1 thought. U need to ask people on ls1tech. Overall the feel of the ls7 clutch is awesome. The clutch petal is as light as a feather and the clutch could handle over 500rwhp. I tell u guys how the clutch handles after i get my heads/cam installed in the near future

no chatter, capable of handling over 500rwhp, stock like feel, street manners(learn that from driving my friends 00ss with a spec 3 clutch), and very cheap. What else u looking for in a clutch.

doesn't chatter at all? Every T-56 I've ever driven has chattered a little bit, mine talks to me non-stop damn it would be worth it just so it wouldn't chatter anymore. I need to find out if it'll bolt to an LT1.

Bennie - Give ATO Performance Trans. a call.
They are probably one of the best at auto trannys, but autos only.
Maybe they can recommend a shop or seller.

reading through that it honestly doesn't seem too difficult to do myself. And we obviously have all the tools to do it... hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
