I would get that Hawks 200MPH speedo if it didn't look wacky, because honestly I could use it also

Hooray for 100+ tickets! Let's have an impound party!

Wow, 150+ is to be commended. I touched the end of the speedo once. Like to see what the headers and no cat would do. Maybe if I get motivated I'll let you know.

Really? only 115? Everytime I ride it seems like it is hard to stay under 130 on a bike...

155 is pretty good, I had my buddies LS1 Z28 to 155 and it felt nice. The GTA has only seen 120, on utica. But my dads BMW 750iL cruises at 150 no problems, and is still pretty quiet too

I used to go on all out speed runs before but now that I have a wife and kids I just do the short, up to 100 runs then back down. Could you imagine what would happen if a tie rod snapped or you hit a deer or something at that speed?
Congrats on a fast car though. Does it feel much quicker with the ecm change?

The more you have to lose, the more you think about these things. I guess it is called getting older or getting more mature. Maybe both.

On your way back to Placerville from Pollock Pines. In other words, going DOWNhill? Was this in the 89 or in the 4th gen?

I had mine up to 135 or so, on flat terrain, after I first got the car. It was still accelerating and I chickened out. Stuff is just happeneing too fast at those speeds, and if anything happens, you are DEAD. If a bull sees you, you're in JAIL.

Trav, did you see in the paper where some lady went off the cliff at Echo Summit and her car fell over 500 feet? I think she lived! Car was totally destroyed.

Yeah, car was totalled. I used to live right at the bottom of Echo summit and wondered if I would see somebody fly off of it. She did live by the way.

Well yeah, at 3000 feet the air is thinner so you had less drag in addition to the downhill grade. LOL!

Find some deserted stretch of road down the hill, off Grantline road, down in those little farmer hick towns or somewhere in that area and see what it will do.
