Get out of Jail Free Card?

So, as many of you know, I got a ticket going to the g2g last sunday for my front 2 winsheilds being tinted by a CHP. I *really* don't want to remove the tints, has anybody been able to get around this somehow? I heard that you can get it 'signed off' by a cop, but I have no experience in such. Share with me some of your stories people... what to do?

I have a 91 TA that I can throw my GTA's liscense plate on What's this process for getting **** signed off?

Fix the issue, find a cop, have him write off the ticket.

That's how it's generally done.

What Travis said, but remember you might get pulled over by every other cop just because they need to write a citation. As long as you have your bases covered you should be fine, but expect to get pulled over so make sure you have all your bases covered before you get behind the wheel!

changing window glass is

NOT FUN!

Do like I told you bro, call your local PD, get them to stop by and sign it off. Is it your fault if they can't tell the difference between two T/A's?

That's what I have done for write off's and VIN verifications, although your local PD might be stricter / lazier and want you to bring it to the station.

Just call the Mountain View PD (non-emergency )

If you have friends that are cops, just ask them to sign it off for you.
if you want to make a trip to san jose, i think i can get my cop friend to sign it off for you with out you having to take the tint off

dood, you guys are BADA$$!!! Thank you so much! So, my 91 TA isn't running (at the moment) so I cant switch the plates and drive that one anywhere. However, I might be able to get it running soon(ish)... but I think I need to do something about the ticket within 21 days.

So -89ca/\/\aroRS- if I can keep the tints on the car and drive it too, that'll be sweet

Let me know whats up, I'll be back in the bay area Monday
