Engine?????

Whats up guys? Well the damn snow wont stop here in Nor Ca so maybe you gus can help me out. In my picture garage i have a pic of my motor. It is a Chevy 350 and that is all i know. If someone could tell me a little bit more about it that would be awesome. The picture is in my garage so if ya can help that would be great!

can't tell anything from a pic. only 350 that came stock in a thirdgen was TPI. yous is TBI(hopefully). has centerbolt heads so guessing its an 87+ motor. most likley its a l05 truck motor, if it is a 350.

It is a 350 however it is not the org. motor.I cant find the block number right now because of the weather here now but hopefully this weekend i can get under the hood and find out.

Appears to be running TBI. Block is orange, so it certainly isn't the stock engine or at the very least is the stock 305 that was pulled and re-built (or maybe just painted). Again, the center bolt valve covers indicate 87+ heads. If you (for whatever reason) are 100% sure it's a 350 then the next biggest piece of information available to you is hiding under the valve covers. Pull off whichever one is easiest to get off (driver side most likely) and get us the head casting number. We really only need the last 3 digits.

Looking at the intake manifold I would say there is a good chance that is a Vortec engine. Lucky you, if that's true.
