Re: Hmmm.
My Harwood hood fit great, but it even wears funny at the top of the firewall. Is it a fiber hood or steel?

Re: Hmmm.
I think a peice of 3" pipe at 120degrees or so should do the trick, then i have to cut a hole in it and weld the surge valve in place.

Re: Hmmm.
They both are used to vent the excess air out of the discharge tube so you do not get compressor surge.
A surge (bypass) valve recirculates the compressed air back into the intake, a bov releases it into the atmosphere.
I think a bypass is more than a BOV that recirculates though. You can vent a bypass to the atmosphere and that doesn't make it a blowoff valve. It remains open by vacuum. When the vacuum goes away, then the valve closes. That's not exactly how a BOV works, as it's not opened all the time.

Re: Hmmm.
If yur charcoal cannister is gone, run the tubing out there, to pull cooler air in from under there.
Relocate the battery if the other side is easier to get to.
A TPI filter tubing Y-pipe won't work?

Re: Hmmm.
Ok, let me lay out the scenerio for you, From the back of the procharger, the intake tubing is 4" diameter on this model. A tpi Elbow would be a restriction. I had to relocate my brake lines just to make the 90degree off the 'charger. I cannot wrap 4" pipe back over my charge pipe, hood clearance just wont allow it, and I cannot go around the 'charger on the right either, master cylinder clearly in the way, I tried going under the procharger, but between the framerail and charger is only about 3" if that.

Re: Hmmm.
Could you go straight back, through the firewall, just to the right of the wiper motor, and fit your filter in the cowl area?
Just trying to think of a way to get cooler air.

Re: Hmmm.
RA hood style filter, to use the Cowl Induction hood as a true cowl induction?
Across the engine, between the TB & Dizzy, 90 deg turn forward, then to the battery tray?

Re: Hmmm.
I've looked into the RA filter, but the outlet it still too small. i cant run anything farther back to the firewall, my proportioning valve and linelock, along with brake lines in general are in the way, brake booster too.

Re: Hmmm.
maybe use their cobra head elbow and a 45* elbow to place the filter behind the hat closer to the cowl opening.
