Ok guys in response to my earlier post and feeling quite humbled lol i am switching a tbi to carb. I would like to know what you can keep gauges and stuff and what you cant keep ie stuff controlled by the ecm. I do not want any smog stuff on the car so she is getting headers and a new exhaust. Dont worry emissions guys she is only going on the track. Now having said this what will still work when the ecm is pulled and what wont. I have read the sticky on the switch over so i know what i need in parts and stuff. Like my earlier post i assumed that the ecm controlled the fan so that is why i wanted to change to a flexlite fan on the water pump. I didnt find any thing on here about the little things that goes on with the swap so some one please help me out and just to let ya guys know i will have a edelbrock performer tbi manifold for sale or trade by monday lol.

 

I don't think you will need all that much, you need a distributor, either vacuum or mechanical advance, manifold, carb, controller for the fans (manual switch) for automatic you need a lockup controller, and I think that is it. I don't think the gauges run off the computer but I vary well may be wrong, but for a track car I would make a custom gauge pod with all auto meter gauges, if you want come over to my shop and I will make one for you for free. Just bring a 6 pack. Hell we could probably get it changed over in a weekend if you really wanted to.

just notiaced you have a 5 speed so you dont need one, it is a controler for a automatic trans.
