Need help with brake rotors???
So I am looking to stay with a stock type rotor, but slotted for sure, no cross drilling though. And yes I will be getting stainless steel brake lines.
These brakes from Hawks: http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/82...frontrorl.aspx
or these, these make me a little nervous though, I don't see how they can be so cheap: http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/ca...wheeldisc.aspx
Summit: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PSR-126-62013CSL/ These seem so similar to Hawks, but much cheaper.
last one: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PWR-AR-8213SL/ These are really cheap so I am not so sure about the quality?
Basically I am looking for good quality and longevity, no premature warping etc. But I don't mind spending a little extra money for good ones.
Thanks guys!

Slotted rotors should not be that much (link #1) if you're staying OE size.
Check out: http://www.r1concepts.com too. They have a lot of options and I have purchased my slotted/zinc plated rotors from them in the past. Then you can get the pads you want elsewhere.
SSBC makes some cool stuff (link #2), but I've never used. I remember thinking their 2-piston caliper kit looked interesting: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SSB-A181/
Surprisingly, I had my rear discs done at Les Schwab few years ago when I knew a guy there. Since they always change the calipers to whatever OEM is, they had to replace the PBR aluminum ones I have with a fresh set of the same. They cover 25,000 mile parts/labor, which covers my GTA for quite a while since I put less than 5K a year on it
Unfortunately my braking is horrible nowadays due to the lack of vacuum induced by the supercharger/cam.

Re: Need help with brake rotors???
Ya I kinda figured link #1 Hawks stuff was a little over priced to say the least.
I like those r1concepts a lot, decent price too. Did you have good luck with them as far as longevity, any early warping issues etc?
As far as calipers I don't want to spend that kind of $$$ on the SSBC kit. Would rather just get some new oem type, maybe double piston if it's not too much money. These are not twin piston, but they seem better then factory http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SSB-A202BK/ any opinions on those? Am I just wasting my money? I can't really find a decent price twin piston, any recommendations would be sweet.

Re: Need help with brake rotors???
I've used the r1 rotors on my old Supra (blanks), the LS1 (drilled/slotted) and the GTA (slotted/zinc plated). Still going strong in the GTA, but like I said, have other issues. They are a seller on eBay for better deals too I believe.
If you're just looking to replace the stockers and won't be flying down the track, or wherever at high speeds, my opinion is don't waste a lot of money unless you're going for looks with a/m calipers/rotors.
I think when it comes to calipers/rotors, it's really about size and surface area. I doubt any of these factory replacement sized options will provide any significant difference compared to any of the bigger brake assemblies conversions out there that cost $$, Baer, 1LE, LS1, etc.
Just my
from experience and lack of any other knowledge, lol.

Ya been about a week for me so far. Thanks for the link to his site Terrell. I am going to pass on his stuff though. Way more than I want to spend. I don't have a freaking race car, just a daily driver.

LS1 brakes would be the cheapest. just order brackets everything else you can get from a parts store or ebay, have Bennie turn your rotors down to hubs and your set.
