Re: Dana 44

It's funny how price is set by the area the parts are located in. You guys jump up and down for a $1500 rear. I have had a Dana 44 sitting on the shop floor for 2 years now (new 3.73 gears, fresh posi, Aluminum cover and stud kit, 90-92 PBRs with brake lines and parking brake cables, Global west relocation brackets tig welded on and even 1310 and 1350 yokes with a new crossover u-joint to fit your stock drive shaft.) and poeple down here walk right by it and will not come up with the $800 for it.

Hell Jerry i would drive to So cal for that rear end only problem is my truck is in Oregon and i kinda wanted to stay with the 3.42 but the 3.73 might work OK with the t5 how much to swap it out ill drive the camaro down there.

Re: Dana 44

Dana 44 were used in SLP Firehawks. They were also used as a replacement for warranty works on some third gen that broke the rearend. I may be wrong but I'm sticking to my story.

Re: Dana 44

wow. Okay so I'll have to start keeping an eye out for one in the future. I always worry about the 10 bolt going out especially as I get faster slowly..
