Last track night of the year.

Went out this year, first time racing too I believe, in the fourth gen however.
Even with my go fast mods, I couldnt muster any better time, in fact it got much worse, but it was fun regardless. I guess bald tires really effect sixty foots.
I got alot of practice launching from second gear though, so much fun!
mph stayed the same though from when I ran my 13.7's so at least the motor is still kickin at 196k miles.

Saw Ryan there tonight, and met his son Kevin, nice '91Z and glad you got some new best times, make sure to update the thread at top!

got my *** handed to me from a supra, it was awesome to watch him take off slow with me then launch like a rocket!

Re: Last track night of the year.

Yeah I went out last week with bald tires. Got a best time. But I think some better tires will deffinately help. So I'll have until february or so to get that done and a couple more mods. Pretty cold out there I'd assume eh?

Re: Last track night of the year.

Sweet. I would've liked to have seen that Supra.
Remind me what minor "mods" you have done to your '98?
I should take my 4th gen out once in spring just for kicks.

Re: Last track night of the year.

It would be fun to run our fourth gens del.
Once I get this clutch issue fixed and real tires on, I can make some real runs like I used to do when I first got the car.
I cant disclose my mods though, my iroc is my real race car, but my fourth gen gets to be my stealthy car

Re: Last track night of the year.

Alright, well you get that clutch fixed and some new rubber and we'll run 'em for kicks.

Stealthy LS1 with your 13.7's, lol. Get outta here. Lid and suspension I know ya have at least.

Re: Last track night of the year.

Ohh boy! haha. First Grudge Night of 2011 sounds good to me.

What are you running in yours Ryan, 13.6's @ 108? I know you'll be consistent.

I don't plan to mod mine anymore, so it will probably be around mid 13's if I'm lucky and don't have 2.5 60's, haha.

Pretty awesome to treat the 4th gen as just the daily driver as we care more about our 3rd gen setups.

Easier said than done in an LS1 with street tires.

Re: Last track night of the year.

I actually want to keep the car running high 13's to stay at the top of the pro ET bracket so I get to see the tree first! better reaction times means more wins more wins means more$$$
