I myself am going to be installing a holley 670 throttle body I bought a few months ago.
I will also finally install my 145 cluster with white face overlays.
Getting new tires. ooh la la...haha
Also am going to be doing valve seals, throw different valve springs on the car. and put some full roller 1.6 ratio rockers in.
If I come across some more money i'll do other things....
What are all your plans for your third gens?
and hell if you dont have a third gen what do you plan to upgrade on a different car?

Good topic, buddy boy. I got a lot goin on. Tearing down my motor because of an improperly balanced rotating assembly, hoping to get some brackets from Ed Miller so I can finish my brakes. Buying the wife a 91 RS so I gotta put a drivetrain in that.... No sleep for me..

Re: Since our forum has been dead. Post your winter thirdgen project plans.
im doing a complete tear down of my 93 trans am that im picking up in a week or so, i already have my camaro torn down to NOTHING literaly.. theres no carpent no motor trans, the only wires left in the car are the ones runing from door to door for the power windows and locks and mirrors.. the engine bay has been painted but i might redo it and smooth it out.. im coating the underbody in truck bed liner. after i get the trans am stripped down im junking the shell and selling what i dont use.. im going with a full 4th gen interior. and lt1 swap.. i plan on ripping the lt1 apart. atleast the top half and putting in all new seals, and a cam swap if money permits.. then on with the body work, i would like to get the car into atleast full primer before i winters end.. then with my military money that ill be getting in april when i leave im going to be buying suspension parts. i want a complete aftermarket suspension, upgraded brakes and then when i come back from basic im going to be installing all those.. its ganna be better then christmass when i get home.

I am just getting my car out here to my new base, if anyone knows how to tighten steering columns, i would appreciate the help doing that. Other than that, I don't really have the money to do anything else. Got a baby on the way!

Well, I am picking my up, after that just plan on fixing some odds an ins on it.
Putting a sound system in it.
Fixing the headlights,
Cleaning up the small things in the interior that need to be fixed.
Nothing major planned since i am just getting it. But thats a big start in general. Been a year an alittle more since i have had a thirdgen.

It's side to side loose, you can feel it when your going around corners. Basically if the car isn't moving, there is left to right movement in the steering wheel.
Had the car looked at, replaced some parts... said he couldn't align the car until the steering column was fixed.

Maybe get around to putting in the 3.50 posi 3rd member. Going to be too busy on the '66 plus the Camaro really doesn't need anything done to it.

Are you still goin to Mark for tuning?
The new SD setup will require load bearing to tune, so we'll hit the dyno.
You buy your radiator yet?! Get on it son.

It's winter time almost, always slow this time of year.
I'm getting the Champion 3-row aluminum radiator setup with fans/shroud.
I started a group purchase this past month and we're putting in orders now.
You can get a 2-row aluminum for as low as $150. Check out that forum if you need a radiator ASAP, deal ends Tuesday.

I'm down to roll my busted whip out to a gtg if it is before the 25th, but other than that it will be tear down mode.
Again, we dont have to wrench on just my car. I have an ALDL cable and a prom burner, not that it is of any use to you Undercover.

Re: Since our forum has been dead. Post your winter thirdgen project plans.
Since this thread seems to have gone a bit off topic, I thought I'd post my current projects.
91 Firebird: Needs (what appears to be) a rear main seal and a whole crap load of interior work. Otherwise it's drivable.
76 Trans Am: Where do I even start? It didn't run when I bought it. Got it running with some simple tune up work (previous owner had NO clue what he was doing) and now I'm in the process of a partial resto. It's got a Pontiac 400/th350 which I'll be rebuilding this winter.
02 Ranger: Needs a wheel bearing and some minor brake repair. I can probably take care of that in 20 minutes.
94 Saturn SC1: I bought this to teach my brother how to drive a stick. Now that he's adept to it, I'm trying to decide weather to fix it up or sell it. It doesn't need much. Just a muffler and maybe tires soon. Its' missing a headliner, though.
Meh, I digress, though, because I'm sure I'm not the only one here who has too many projects and no where near enough time to complete them all.
LoL for instance, I intend to put an outer tie-rod end on my g/f's 94 Ranger, replace the wheel bearing and front drivers caliper on my Ranger, then replace the rear main on the Firebird.... all in one day. Somehow, I don't see that happening...

Looks like I'm going to have to rebuild my engine. I found a groove in one of the crank journals (and bearings) when I pulled a few bearing covers off the connecting rods. But its going to take alot of time as money is very tight. One thing at a time I guess.

I spent most of my day wrenching. Smog pump went out so I had to take care of it. My exhaust cutout wouldnt stay closed so I took it off and am goign to fix it up. (pay the money for the good electric cutout, nothing but problems with the summit brand one).

Patching rusty panels, but it is in the 20's here and my garage isn't heated. So the plan is to insulate the garage then heat her up so I can work on the IROC.

Wow, speaking of pulling motor, I'm SO happy I got that done (and the donor installed) before any really bad, cold weather hit. The down side is I have a small oil leak somewhere and it spews antifreeze after warming up....
I may just put this project away until summer because I don't have a garage to put this Bird in....

Kinda sucks, I'm not in a garage this time.. I'm out in the elements, that's why I pulled it now!
