Metal 2 1/2 inch goodmark cowl hood. I like it better w/o a license plate, i came out and my front one was gone one day so i ordered new custom plates waiting for them to come in.

 

what springs are you running ramair21 . i like the way your car sits an those rims are amazing looking .

yeah i dont blame ya. I figured on a daily driver steel would be better for the long term. and I got it 2nd hand for 350 bucks so not too shabby. Im good at getting deals. haha.

 

yes mine is a street show car so i dont care , mine stays at the garage most of the year .. if u get a deal on a ss hood let me know haha

No I haven't cleaned them out in several years. Its such a pain in the rear on a TPI engine to get to the EGR valve.

its a pain, but try hooking a vac hose to the egr valve, if it runs rough or stalls, it could be something else. I see a lot of injectors get clogged, or otherwise go bad, also check for vacuum leaks, and if you have a maf, it could be dirty making the engine run lean, what are your fuel trims like? other gases (hc, co, co2, and o2 ) intake leaks can make real headaches for nox, and hc.

 

Not following you on exactly what to do with the EGR and the hose. Are you saying to use an extra hose and attach to the EGR vac port? Not sure what you mean. I don't have a MAF, my car is Speed Density. I'll run some seafoam through the injectors and hope that cleans 'em out. They're #24 SVO injectors I've had in the car for close to ten years now, but that can be misleading. I'm in the Navy and with my deployment schedule the car only has about 40,000 miles in that timeframe. What do you mean by fuel trims?

If this can assist you in helping me narrow it down, here are my readings:

15 mph
HC (ppm) Max: 108; Meas: 38 Pass
CO (%) Max: 0.71 ; Meas: 0.03 Pass
NO (ppm) Max: 767 ; Meas:1958 FAIL (Gross Poluter by 1 ppm)

25 mph
HC (ppm) Max: 83 ; Meas: 25 Pass
CO (%) Max: 0.58 ; Meas: 0.01 Pass
NO (ppm) Max 706; Meas: 1254 FAIL

UPDATE: Finally passed smog yesterday (APR 19th). Apparently my cats were bad. Both of them! That sucked. Oh well, passed emissions.

 

I don't want to hijack this thread, start a new one,you could get advise from around the world, it is amazing but include the o2, and co2 values as well, at a glance it looks like are running lean, but without the other gases, I can't tell for sure, as far as the egr hose just use a peace of hose and run it from the valve to the intake, the nipple for the fuel pressure regulator should be right there.

 

Shes under the knife right now...full drivetrain swap plus custom goodies hehehe I will repost once shes back on the ground
