Pick and Pull is getting better

Went to the Rancho yard today, I dont know if anyone is looking for anything, but I did see 3 complete TPI setups, one SD and the other 2 MAF. All parts and bolts were intact, even the air intake ducting. Also saw a relative nice set of PMD seats out of an 84ish Berlinetta. Looked really good, could just use a good machine wash and they would be ready to go. Also a very well taken care of 91 Camaro Z28. Interior was gray, car was untouched with the exception of the pass seat being gone. All seats, carpet, dash components, drivetrain, and body was still there and was premier for getting good parts.... Until I saw it. I yanked the hi rise spoiler, the trunk pull down, and the front grill.

I was impressed with the selection this time around. There also was a "premier" side that cost an additional $2 to get in. This side holds newer cars (97 and up I believe). I was told there were 4th gens over there, but time got short, so I didnt get a chance to check it out.

So if you need parts, Id get out and see whats out there before the rest of the unappreciative public ruins that part you have been looking for........

Re: Pick and Pull is getting better

If the thread topic here ended with "worse" I would agree with you.

I have been dealing with PNP for years, back when you could decline exchange policies, prices weren't as high, bullshit CA environmental hippie fees weren't automatically added, there used to be dedicated Camaro sections, and their usual revolving door of retarded employess were well, less retarded.

Do NOT confuse the fact that more 4th gen parts are in boneyards now (it was bound to happen), with PNP improving at all.

Please.

Re: Pick and Pull is getting better

Haha I feel ya Vin. Now if you get lucky and find an edelbrock intake manifold out there you gotta pay more for it than a standard stock manifold. They have a dedicated (performance intake manifold price). Now if you get lucky and find a edelbrock tpi base..then great price!

I think headers have a different price on them than manifolds also. Actually found a thirdgen with headers out there, thought well maybe i can resell them. but then i would have to pay 80 for the headers...with a pssible resale value of 100-120 wasnt worth it...lame lame lame...but it is nice to see some 4th gen stuff out there, and if I could get a ls1 for a couple hundred bucks it'd be hard to pass up

I believe I saw one of these in the Rancho PNP when I was there Monday. It was missing the round center section and the leather wasn't in the best condition. Not sure if your're looking to restore? If not, this one isn't for you. Otherwise, I'll continue to keep an eye out for one as I check out the junk yards.

Re: Pick and Pull is getting better

I found some Lexan T-Tops yesterday at the yard. $54 was not a steal but I figure I can afford to sit on them for a while. They are LIGHTWEIGHT! Very surprised. Most of the Camaro's here are picked! They had maybe 10 and then another 15 of the 4th gens. Seems everyone destroys all the parts they don't want (just sitting there cracked and broken.... sad.

Re: Pick and Pull is getting better

it was base and runners for 400. runners were edelbrock.

I sold that baseplate pictured for 275.00 plus shipping. so if you need a few dollars there ya go johnny boy.

Sickrs is a cool guy, maybe he will make you a decent offer on it
