Need Help with Gauge pod wiring
I'm installing the Two gauge pod with Electric Oil and Electric Fuel Gauges.
For those that have already done this, can you share what you found to be the best/simplest way to get the wiring together from the back of the AUTO METER/PRO COMP Gauge down the A-Pillar?
Where did you run the wires exactly? Was the pre-made Autometer harnesses long enough or did you have to elongate them?
I was thinking that the fuel pressure unit could hook up to the spot where the 9th injector used to plug in on the driver's rear corner of the fuel rail.
*I couldn't find any descriptions on SEARCH that actually described where Gauge Pod owners were running their wiring through.

Thanks, Nitro-Nicky

Re: Need Help with Gauge pod wiring
I ran the wire down the side of the dash with wire loom on it. tucked between the side of the dash panel and the jam trim. looks okay to me. but im also not a overly picky person. lol. i havnt actually put the pod in yet. the gauge is sitting on my dash. looks ghetto. I have the pod and will install it within the next couple weeks.

Mine goes down the pod behind the dash and through the firewall. looks messy but you really cant see it unless your looking for it.

Also not sure how big the Autometer sending units are, but the one that came with my B&M gauge is pretty big. It wouldnt look clean up y the fuel rail. I bought some fittings to install it inline at the frame rail.

Thanks; that's really helpful. Why drill more holes than we have to. With the T-Top cars there's already so much flex I'm afraid one of these days I'll drill a hole and the dang car will fold up like a taco on the next tight corner in the road! Nitro

Re: Need Help with Gauge pod wiring
It's got a low rod knock that electronic sensor pics up and throws the timing all over the place. I've had a new engine for two years but got sidetracked a year ago with buying and fixing up a major house renovation.
I just restarted working on it again on Saturdays. I've managed to put together several thousand dollars worth of parts that all need to be installed at the same time as the new engine. I guess I got carried away!
I wish I could go
It's going to be that much sweeter when I turn the key over for the very first time!!! (probably next Spring)
Hey, thanks for asking! Nitro
