Have'nt had much garage time latley. I would like to get togather with other 3gen's sometime. Any information on Kansas gatherings, let me know.
NOTE: Anyone outthere installed "RAM cast iron exhaust manifolds" on a 3gen with 350 auto?

Re: ANY KANSAS PEOPLE!
Hi Terry,
I installed 1967 Camaro Ram's Horn style exhaust manifolds on my sons '86 Z/28 because i put an "old style, drivers side dipstick" block (350 - 5 speed) into it. Actually, I only put the drivers side on, but it bolted up and fit real nice, had to take it to the muffler shop to have them patch in the head pipe, but it works fine. I don't know if the old Camaro's are the same as what you have but it is what I had layin' around and after measuring to make sure, it worked out. Thought I'd chime in on your question. Marty

Re: ANY KANSAS PEOPLE!
I'm in Salina... The ksfba.org forum is nearly worthless. It's mostly a bunch of LS1 loudmouth nonsense. It's very poorly moderated, so it's usually just unregulated trash talk. The technical content is very slim, and I haven't seen anything in the classifieds worth having in the last 3 years.
It'd seem there are more then enough members on here from Kansas to justify a 82-92 specific forum, if people were to participate. The regional forums on here are just about useless too... As if someone in Utah is local to someone in North Dakota. Someone should just make a KS 82-92 Fbody specific forum.

Re: ANY KANSAS PEOPLE!
I have to admit when I first heard about ksfba.org about a year or so ago I was excited that there was such a forum. But overall, I wasn't impressed.

Re: ANY KANSAS PEOPLE!
Actually, I was thinking yesterday after I posted that "JamesC has posted some good thirdgen parts in the classifieds"... I'm glad that slip didn't offend.
So what are we going to do? Do we just try to participate on KSFBA until there's some 82-92 activity? http://ksfba.org/forums/showthread.php?t=3768 is a start... Or do we set up a new message board on a free host?
I'd do a lot more with my Firebird if there was a decent forum. I've been working towards getting the car drivable again recently and I'm basically there, just have to jump through the legal loop holes.

Re: ANY KANSAS PEOPLE!
It's not too surprising... I listed a storage unit full of stuff and had a couple nibbles, but mostly just wasted my time. I've had better luck selling stuff on Craigslist. I've still got an attic full of parts, and some stuff in storage that I'd like to get rid of, but out of sight out of mind, and there really isn't anywhere to post it.

Re: ANY KANSAS PEOPLE!
yea i understand. I am selling some stuff off the firebird. Just a little here and there. Its not hurting just sitting there. And got enough money to get the clutch i need for my conversion for my camaro. I tell ya what I will see what I can do on my end on the ksfba.org with the thread i made if no luck then i will use my rusty website skills and get on in the makings.

Already registered and posting... Needs more traffic, but that'll come as more people find there way in.
You might want to go back to the first post in this thread and edit it to add the link, since people stumbling on this thread will probably start there.

Re: ANY KANSAS PEOPLE!
Thanks "Topless87" for the reply. I sence found a spec sheet on the manifold dimensions. Found that the header pipe would be two close to crossmember for my preferance. I think it could be done though. I'm not wonting to modify things that much. I went with my stock cast manifolds for a good fit. I'll consentrate on the rest of the exhaust system for maximun flow.

The #1 thing http://kansastgo.49.forumer.com/index.php needs is more activity. The forum is there, it works 90% of the time and several people read it, there just aren't a bunch of people posting. Everyone just needs to register and start using it.

I changed the log in attempt setting so you can enter the wrong password many times before it will lock you out. Remember the software is set to require a password 6-10 characters long, and it must contain letters and numbers. That threw me off cause usually I don't use numbers in my passwords.

Reminder about Set'Em Up Jacks cruise-in Saturday (every first Sat. through Oct. IIRC) in Lawerence (1800 E. 23rd St. Lawrence, KS 66046). There are usually some cool cars in attendance. No cost. Sign in and you'll get a coupon for 33% off food in the restaurant--which serves darned good burgers and good cold brews.
