i have a bent flange on the frame where the front bumper attaches on the left. i tried straighteneing it but it is creased way to deep. if anyone here has a scrap camaro i would like to come out and cut that flange off and weld it into my car. hopefully one of you guys has a junker.

i have a need for both front flanges, i was gonna chop the ones off my parts car, but then i remembered it was totalled in a head on collision, so that ruined that idea

you would think those impact absorbers in front of the bumper would be crushed before the frame would . whats the point of those things

they don't really crush, they just deform and go back to their original shape, it's weird as hell. The parts car has the plastic impact things in perfect shape, but the bumper they're attached to is pushed back to where the battery tray and charcoal cannister used to be.

yeah thats exactly what mine loooks like on the left. when i was taking off the bumper, i didnt realize that the way it was twisted it acted like a spring. almost shot off in my face. i found a bumper for 45 bucks.

dont worry you all can relax im in the process of fabricating a new frame bumper flange using the old bumper as scrap. so i dont need a flange anymore.
