HI guys im in moline IL and i need a rear end for my 89 RS camaro. I need a posi or not 3.42 or 3.73. Im looking to spend $100 on an open rear-$200 on the posi rear . Would perfer posi but i can deal with an open. Has to be in illinois. Please help.

 

i've got a 3.08 open disc, 50 if you want it, i've got calipers and rotors to go with it but the rotors need to be turned and the calipers need pads

 

how far from villa park are you?

 

mapquest says 100.97 miles...

 

how far from moline?

 

mapquest says 192.52....but if you got on 24 in peoria it would probably be 10-20 miles less

 

sorry man its just a little too far for me and shipping would kill me.

 

for $50 LESS than what you wanna spend.....doesn't seem "too far" at all. don't think you'll even spend that $50 in gas getting it....

You and elmer also didnt work 11 hour days 7 days a week. I just dont have the time to do it. Plus i was looking for a 3.27 or higher but if i cant find another one ill keep you in mind. And on top of everything else my car is a drum brake car. I just want something that i can take a day off of work and put it in.

 

If you don't want it, thats fine, i'm just tryin to get rid of it, if you change your mind, let me know, I start my new job in March and i'll be working a hell of alot more than you do and definately won't be able to do any parts deals for a while.

I just read all your posts on this thread and I fail to see any reason why someone would want to help you, even though a few were good enough to offer. Everyone has problems with work, women and whatever. It is a matter of figuring out something that will work.

I see Ontogenesis even worked Mapquest for you. Twice. The second time giving you a time saving shortcut.

They are whoring my post. You know making replys that are not related to the original post. And YES i have checked shipping. It would be more to have it shipped than to go to a junkyard and buy one. But almost all of the yards here are u-pull yards which i stated before i dont have the time for. I know he mapquested twice but it is just too far for me to go with a car thats trans is slipping. I have to pick up this camaro on saturday so i figured that if somebody had one in the chicago area i would also pick that up at the same time. And the cryptic statements... I was saying it can be posi but it dosent have to be but i want something in the 3.27-3.73 gear range. Does that clear anything up at all? Im sorry if i came off as being an ******* in some odd way i just dont have the time nor energy to do these things. Im 20 years old, i have a son, a wife, and a really bad hour job that i love so im not going to quit. We will slow down sometime but not in the next week.It really wears me out to do all of this and wake up with the kid at night. I really need a rear end but i have to kill two birds with one stone here.

 

Swerve, take it easy on him. i knew my rear wasn't exactly what he was after, but i gotta get rid of it before i leave, so i offered anyway. Mapquest takes maybe 45 seconds, it's not that big a deal. He was right to call us post ******, we were jackin his thread. I see where your commin from swerve, and if i had to sand and repaint the rear and i was offering to meet him in peoria and give him the rear for free and he said no once i got to peoria...that'd be different, i'd be pissed, but this is nothing to get upset over.

89 i do have a disc 3.42 limited slip under my car now...if you could wait until mid May when the 9" comes in, i could have one of my friends pop my rear out...but i'd have to ask for $100 for it.

if you can't wait that long, call denny (LFN AT U), he's got thirdgen parts out the wazoo, he could probably hook you up with a 9 bolt if you asked him nice. You've probably heard people talk about his parts collection...but the inventory is insane, his entire basement is PACKED...something your really outta see.

 

I most definately could wait until mid may. We will be slowed down by then. I will definately get ahold of you then. A 3.43 was what i was looking for. Thanks and im sorry if i came off as an ***. By the way my name is Joe.
