Well i getting the bird back tommorrow. Turns out a wire for the mass air flow sensor was bad. So the car thought it was running lean and was gettin to much gas for the catylic converter and it was all messed up.. but now it is fixed and no more VAn

haha

I'm laughing with you, my GTA had 17k on it when I bought it ans the damned intake was leaking. Got another 30k out of it by retorqueing it.

I'm replacing it this spring when i do the valve stem seals and springs.

later

Emmisions suck

I hate the emmisions people. Simple as that. They serve no purpose. I found the easy way to pass was to just buy a new cat and have no leaks and you pass. Or sell the car to a family member like your wife and in Illinois that buys you another year and a half.

another trick to pass those smog freaks.....try squirting water into the air intake.sounds strange, right? it loosens up all the carbon in the cylinders....excess carbon deposits=higher compression=failed smog tests. just make sure the engine is running!!(and DONT let it die) it works especially well on older, high milage cars.

well got the car together today after on sunday the rvt in the back didnt hold and had to do it all again. And timing was hard too do. but why it didnt pass emissions was a bad air flow sensor wire. So the engine thought it was running lean so sent more gas and messed up the cat and it should pass now. I Hope
